The Vanishing of Margaret Small by Neil Alexander
Looks like light fiction, but it is very intense. Enjoyed it much more than I had expected.

Carolyn | 9836 comments I'm enjoying Martha Wells' Murderbot series featuring a snarky AI gone rogue, but wish I hadn't left it so long between reading instalment #2 and #3, my memory isn't good enough to keep up with what's been happening. A good excuse to read the next one soon anyway!

Rogue Protocol (The Murderbot Diaries, #3) by Martha Wells Rogue Protocol

Frankly Feminist Short Stories by Jewish Women from Lilith Magazine by Susan Weidman Schneider
An anthology of 44 stories with female Jewish protagonists. I was impressed by the range of genres and themes in this one, though it was a tad too long for my liking.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9974 comments 16th C Italian history really isn’t at the top of my TBR, unless it’s written by Maggie O'Farrell, then it jumps the queue. Her writing is so beautiful, it’s hard to limit the quotes. The Marriage Portrait is brilliant, and I especially love the ending. 5★s

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9974 comments While I've missed the last 4 Alex Cross novels, it doesn't seem to matter: Triple Cross is standard James Patterson fare and will appeal to avid fans. 3.5★s

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments Richard Flanagan is a favourite author of mine, a Tasmanian, and I can see why The Sound of One Hand Clapping was on the award lists in 1998. It's the story of a migrant family who came to Tasmania in the 1950s. Australia wasn't war-torn Europe, but life for them was no picnic.
The Sound of One Hand Clapping by Richard Flanagan 4.5★ My review of The Sound of One Hand Clapping

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9974 comments Jumping into a series at book #9 might not be the best move, but I have read #1, so I did have half an idea of what was going on in Amongst Our Weapons by Ben Aaronovitch. Just marvellous!!! 5★s
