Kim (kimborams) | 1568 comments Recently finished a re-read of Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens

Having watched the excellent film adaptation (and cried), I felt that I just had to revisit the book - I very rarely re-read books (just too many new ones to read!), but felt that I had to make an exception for this one. Still a 'more than 5-star' read for me!

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments Wilma Mankiller was some woman! Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara picked a remarkable Cherokee woman who rose from 'dirt-poor' to represent her Nation. It's another excellent addition to the Little People BIG DREAMS collection. I'm so glad I met her in this little book.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments With the first book I read by Canadian veterinarian Philipp Schott, it was the quirky title that got me in. Now, I know that anything he writes will be informative, entertaining, often moving and frequently hilarious. The Battle Cry of the Siamese Kitten backs that up. 5★s
