Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments While I've only read the first in Jussi Adler-Olsen Department Q series, I dived into #9, The Shadow Murders and that was fine. Gripping Scandi noir, and now to read the unread seven. 4★s

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments How I could have missed C.S. Lewis's The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in my childhood is beyond me. Surely someone should have directed me to it! It's still fun, of course. Better late, etc. 😊
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Chronicles of Narnia, #1) by C.S. Lewis 5★ My review

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments On a completely different note, No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy is only for seasoned readers. Simple, direct, violent, and thought-provokingly tender in places. Phenomenal writer. Loved it.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments I thoroughly enjoyed Finnish author Antti Tuomainen's The Rabbit Factor whose quirky protagonist reminds me a little of Don Tillman. The Moose Paradox, #2 in the series, is definitely on my TBR.

Anita | 57 comments The Paris Mystery is the first of a new series featuring the red-headed Charlie James, and for those who enjoy light historical fiction, mystery and (potentially) romance Kirsty Manning’s matchbox logo lookalike heroine will light their fires.
