Sarah | 1543 comments I'm creaking back into gear after a reviewing funk... here's my first for the year, #5 in Marion Todd's D.I Clare Mackay series, Next in Line. A good read and another series to catch up on...

Carolyn | 9836 comments The Twyford Code by Janice Hallett The Twyford Code by Janice Hallett was a really fun read, written as an old fashioned adventure story chasing secret codes and hidden treasure and written entirely as transcripts of voice recordings.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments This second instalment in the Farm to Table series by Amanda Flower, Put Out to Pasture, is a pleasant enough read as rural cosies go, but not quite entertaining enough for me to go back and read #1, or continue with the series.

Em__Jay | 500 comments 3.5 stars to Burnt Out by Victoria Brookman.

The author mixes several different themes but it comes together nicely. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments You don't have to be a parent to enjoy Fredrik Backman's little book of advice to his son. Things My Son Needs to Know About The World is a laugh-out-loud funny, poignant and insightful read.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments The Wedding Setup: A Short Story by Sonali Dev is a predictable little dose of romance that will appeal to fans of swooning love stories with an Indian flavour.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments I didn't love Lily Harford's Last Request by Aussie author, Joanna Buckley as much as I'd hoped to, but the topical issue she covers certainly makes it an impressive debut novel.

Hi Colin - Brenda and Phrynne are the experts, but because I'm about to post a link to one of my reviews, I'll just say that generally, members write a review (as you have done) and then copy a link to the review here to let the rest of us know there's a new one to read.

(I tend to edit my link, but lots of people just copy and paste the URL. Makes no difference!)

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments I've decided to read some of the 'good' books I somehow missed when they were published, and the 1995 Pulitzer winner, The Stone Diaries by Carol Shields was one. What a writer! A life in a century!

When you open a comment box, you see "add book/author" at the top left of the box. click on that and you can add the link to the book you've reviewed. To add a link to your review, you need to have copied the web address (looks like https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...) from the page your review is on, in your case https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments Australian author Ali Lowe’s debut novel, The Trivia Night has an original plot with an excellent final twist, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, although the characters are free with expletives (if this offends). A brilliant read from an author to watch.
