The Interview by Gill Perdue is a strong debut novel, featuring specialist victim interviewers trying to question a traumatised teenage girl about the disappearance of her step-father, but some of the topics it deals with makes it a tough read and means it won't appeal to everyone.review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Here's my review of Murder Most Fancy by Aussie Author Kellie McCourt - it's a rip-roaring mystery-thriller with plenty of laughs along the way.

Here's my review of a non-fiction (self help, I suppose?) title, Welcome to the Grief Club: Because You Don't Have to Go Through It Alone by Janine Kwoh. A practical and meaningful guide for those experiencing the loss of a loved one.

Now Rob! It's 4-star reviews like this that pose a dilemma for me. I have too many books on my 'to read' list and not enough years left to read them all. So stop it!!!! INSERT SMILEY FACE. All jokes aside, a good review. Thanks CB
Find Your Way Home by Jackie Ashenden and my latest review. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I can see that Aussie author Sally Bothroyd was aiming for a crime read peppered with humour in her debut novel, Brunswick Street Blues. Unfortunately she didn’t quite convince me, but if there is to be more of this protagonist, I might be willing to give her another chance. 3.5★s

I loved the print version of the debut novel by Canadian author, Nita Prose, The Maid, and Lauren Ambrose's rendition of the audio is excellent. 5★s

Here's my review of Peter Swanson's latest, Nine Lives, a twisty and entertaining interpretation of the well-known "murder list" trope.

I realise I am sooo late to the party with this one but, having finally read the first book in J.D. Robb's In Death series, Naked in Death, I can see what the fuss is about and I'm eager to read more. Interesting, though to read a book set well into the future, some 30 years after it was written.5★s

Just remember Colin we've all had to learn from the group up, making mistakes along the way. Even now I still sometimes post the link to the book rather than my review!
The Murder Rule by Dervla McTiernan is a departure from her Irish detective series. This finds a US group trying to rescue wrongly convicted people from Death Row. But were they wrongly convicted?

Man, Fuck This House by Brian Asman was as weird as it sounds.Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
An intriguing premise well executed made Peter Swanson's latest novel, Nine Lives unputdownable for me, even if I did guess the perpetrator early.5★s

It was such a delight to meet the fantastic Amanda Gorman in the bright children's book by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara. So young (only 24 on the 7th!), so talented, so inspiring. America's first Youth Poet Laureate.
4.5~5★ My review of Amanda Gorman with some illustrations and a photo
