Carolyn | 9836 comments The Interview by Gill Perdue The Interview by Gill Perdue is a strong debut novel, featuring specialist victim interviewers trying to question a traumatised teenage girl about the disappearance of her step-father, but some of the topics it deals with makes it a tough read and means it won't appeal to everyone.

I think there needs to be a 'Goodreads for Dummies' manual. I've fumbled my way around the site for a few months now, but thanks to help from established members, I getting better and better! CB

Now Rob! It's 4-star reviews like this that pose a dilemma for me. I have too many books on my 'to read' list and not enough years left to read them all. So stop it!!!! INSERT SMILEY FACE. All jokes aside, a good review. Thanks CB

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments I can see that Aussie author Sally Bothroyd was aiming for a crime read peppered with humour in her debut novel, Brunswick Street Blues. Unfortunately she didn’t quite convince me, but if there is to be more of this protagonist, I might be willing to give her another chance.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments I realise I am sooo late to the party with this one but, having finally read the first book in J.D. Robb's In Death series, Naked in Death, I can see what the fuss is about and I'm eager to read more. Interesting, though to read a book set well into the future, some 30 years after it was written.
