Not part of the Slough House series, but in the same world of MI5,
Nobody Walks by Mick Herron was nevertheless an enjoyable read.review; https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

You don't have to be a kid to enjoy the books that Matt Haig writes for middle-grade readers: I loved his story of that mouse in his first book of the Christmas series. 5★s for A Mouse Called Miika.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I loved Carrie Cox's first novel, Afternoons with Harvey Beam, and was thrilled to score an early copy of her new one, So Many Beats Of The Heart. I wasn't disappointed: this one is even better.5★s

The Land of Short Sentences was a curious little book - short and humorous to a degree.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
An indie musician, a cranky father, a history professor, an Alaskan cruise: it all makes for a funny, moving, heart-warming and uplifting read. The Unsinkable Greta James by Jennifer E. Smith.5★s

Caroline Lennon's rendition of the Irish accent really enhances the audio version of Maeve Binchy's 17th novel, A Week in Winter. The perfect book when you need a feel-good read.5★s

Here's my review of The Family Law by Aussie Author Benjamin Law, a series of chapters/essays about his family and growing up as an Asian-Australian on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. It's since been adapted as a television series by SBS.

Don't you just love it when the author of your favourite Aussie historical fiction series offers up a short story prequel! Thanks to Sulari Gentill for this very early dose of Rowland Sinclair, The Company of Rats, available on the State Library of NSW website.5★s

Facts and Other Lies: Welcome to the Disinformation Age, by Aussie author Ed Coper, is just as unnerving as you probably gather it is from the title. The current division in many democracies has been caused by bad actors with thousands of automatic bots that set us off down fake rabbit holes. Started with the printing press, escalated to social media. You may be sent one way, while I'm sent another. CLASH! If democracies crumble, guess what happens next?!
5★ My review of Facts and Other LiesIt's long, but I've included a lot of examples from this terrific book.
