I always check the library online and then slap a reserve on it if it's there. It costs me $2 but I think it is worth it!!!

message 220: by Mell (new)

Mell (mellrouvray) | 338 comments Given that I read ebooks, is it right to take the page count from the Goodreads page for the book?

message 221: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 80221 comments Mod
Yes that's how the ebook totals are calculated Melissa:) Most ereaders don't have page counts, just % read so the GR page count is the best:)

message 222: by Mell (new)

Mell (mellrouvray) | 338 comments That's what I thought (it's what I do for the read-a-thons), but just wanted to double check!

1. Make a cup of tea!
a) Boil the water - Read a book which is "steamy", set in a hot climate or makes you feel warm inside. Or books where the author's name or book title begins with B, O, I or L .

Red - rooibos tea

Tommo and Hawk by Bryce Courtenay

c) Steep the tea - Read a book with page counts to indicate how strong you like your tea:
Medium - 151 to 300 pages

Twelve Years a Slave: Die wahre Geschichte by Solomon Northup read

d) Sweet? - Read a book to indicate how sweet you like your tea:
No sugar - Stand alone novel

Rosemary's Baby by Ira Levin - reading now.

e) Black or white? - Read a book to indicate what else to add to your tea:
No milk - General fiction

Solomon's Song by Bryce Courtenay

Now your cuppa is made, you're ready to continue reading!

2. March 4th is Clean up Australia Day - read at least one book by an Aussie Author from your TBR list...

The Potato Factory by Bryce Courtenay

3. March 20th is International Day of Happiness so pick up a book you've been desperate to read OR re-read an old favourite - either will make you HAPPY

Bellagrand: A Novel by Paullina Simons

4. April 22nd is International Mother Earth Day - save the earth by reading a library book, or a book borrowed from a friend...

Daughter Of Mine by Anne Bennett

5. May 15th is International Family Day - read a book which has family featured...

The Shining by Stephen King

6. New Release by an Aussie Author- Read a book that is released in Autumn 2015 - March, April or May...

Ive kept this blank for now as I have a goal not to purchase new books either. I have way too many here to read but if I get all the 9 read that I have planned I will do this one last.
