Jennifer (jhaltenburger) | 1166 comments How it works:
Each month you will be given 7 Listopia lists to pick at least one book to read that month. You can choose books from different lists if you decide to read more than one book. Or you can read several books from the same list. The first link will always be the main Listopia page.

Choosing from the main Listopia page:
You can pick any list that shows up on the main Listopia page. The categories are: Featured Lists, Lists with Recent Activity, Lists My Friends Have Voted On, Popular Lists.

You cannot click on a 'more' button, which would have you leave the main Listopia page. You have to choose a list that is currently on that page. (Be aware that the lists on the main page change regularly.)

Your goal is to reach 1 million points by the end of the year.

Rules:
No page limit.
Any version of the book is permitted (hardback, paperback, ebook, or audio book).

How to Score Your Book:
the book's # on the list x the # of people who voted for that book

Examples:
At one point, Violence was #142 on the "July 2020 Most-Anticipated Romances" list.
6 people voted for it. The score is 142 x 6 = 852 points.
description

If your score is under 10,000, you can boost it by voting for and/or adding books to
that list. Example: your score was 852 points. You voted for or added 21 books to that list. 852 x 21 = 17,892. Your new score is 17,892 points.

- or -

Charlotte's Web is #20 on the "Books That Everyone Should Read At Least Once" list. 6,179 people voted for it. The score is 20 x 6,179 = 123,580 points.

Average score per book to reach 1 million in twelve months:
1 book a month - 83,400
2 books a month - 41,700
3 books a month - 27, 800
4 books a month - 20,900
5 books a month - 16,700

Barb Is this your own personal challenge, or is it open for others to join? Not sure I'd join anyhow, but you know me, I need to know the details :)

Jennifer (jhaltenburger) | 1166 comments It’s a group listopia challenge at the group “The Challenge Factory.” The mod gives you 7 lists a month to read something from (as many or few as you want) and there’s a formula for scoring your books. The aim is a million points in the year.

Barb Ah, I see that now. I didn't see the original post, just yours, but now I get that this is your own personal thread for the group challenge :) Thanks!
