Pasty Hag | 89 comments Happy Read-A-Thon, everyone! I hope everyone is having a pleasant day!

This hour let's chat about characters or authors we would invite to a dinner party or date! I would love to chat with Shirley Jackson. She used to host a lot of swanky dinner parties in her day so I'm sure she would be good company, plus I love her work so much.

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 350 comments I definitely second Shirley Jackson. That's a great choice! I'd also love to invite all of my favourite high fantasy authors as I think it'd make for some great conversations between them all - Brandon Sanderson, George R.R. Martin, Joe Abercrombie, R.F. Kuang, Gareth Hanrahan, Patrick Rothfuss, Alix E. Harrow, Andrea Stewart, and Evan Winter.

Pasty Hag | 89 comments Ooh that sounds like a great party! I picture a long table overflowing with a grand feast, fit for a dinner of high fantasy authors!

That's definitely how I picture it too. Although hopefully there will be less meats present than is often featured in Western/medieval-based fantasy stories as I'm a vegan lol.

Imagine the witty conversations at this table! Love it

Eswee42 | 31 comments Agatha Christie! Although I would never dare to eat or drink anything, or move, because I would probably end up dead. :-p

Haha yes! Wise decision! I just finished Body In The Library this week. It was very enjoyable
