#1 A book with flowers on the cover
Susan Mackie Charlie's Will

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
#2
A book with lots of twists
Fleur McDonald Deception Creek

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Kate is an alcoholic, who ten years on has not got over the death of her son and husband.
#2. Read a book where someone drinks alcohol
Other People's Houses by Kelli Hawkins - 4★ AA

Snow Blind by P.J. Tracy is one to read on a hot day. Bl**dy freezing weather! Still, intrepid (sometimes terrified) detectives keep braving the icy roads to hunt down killers.

p.s. I swapped a book for a DNF.

Reading 2 out of 4. Also reading Lola's Secret.
#1 - Flowers on cover (reserved for December)

#2 - Someone drinks alcohol. Fairly sure, as it involves an Aussie in London, I mean a pub visit must be in it (reserved).

#3 (Involves music) Yes! Listening to The StoryTeller - Dave Grohl.

#4 - One Summer in Venice -- she threatens to come apart at the seams, so perhaps a tenuous link to mental health...?

TASKS - 13/11 one book to go
✔#1. Flowers on the cover
Pianos and Flowers - Alexander McCall Smith Finished 7th nov 5★
Pianos and Flowers: Brief Encounters of the Romantic Kind
✔#2. plenty of twists changed to Someone drinks alcohol
The Shadow - James Patterson finished 18/11/21
The Shadow
This didn't work as a twists / turns book, so I'll find another one.
Changed to The Valley of Lost Stories by Vanessa McCausland - finished 21/11/21 ★
one of the main characters Natalie, drinks a lot - the outcome is an alcoholic
✔#3. water on the cover
Kill Shot - Garry Disher (AA) finished 11/11 3.5★
Kill Shot
✔#4. a character who suffers mental health problems
Primary Target Finish 7th nov 3★
I'll finish this audiobook today, the main character (soldier) was hospitalized in a VA hospital following an Afghanistan mission in the first section of the book. So a nod to military personnel suffering from PTSD - such loyalty and sacrifice.
Primary Target

Challenge completed 21/11/21

Perfectly Thin - what a book - a little cliched at times but heartfelt and riveting.

Brenda I now realise the app is very difficult to use, unable to see the various options to link etc & reading back on old posts for hints etc, the website is much better. Up to now I've only used the app to monitor my Reads, To Be Read and find new books.
thanks

I've heard a lot of people say the same Denise. I personally haven't got the app - because of the negative comments - and find working with the laptop a lot easier :)

Best so far:
#2. 7th November is the Bitter & Twisted Boutique Beer Festival in NSW - Read a book with plenty of twists : The One Impossible Labyrinth by Matthew Reilly AA (twists galore I'm hoping!) 5*
As expected this book was written with this prompt in mind! An enjoyable end to the series though it seemed quite a bit shorter than the previous installments.
