Trio | 2789 comments I'm a super slow reader, and I've got 5 ARCs right now that I've got to get out asap - it has to be an audiobook I can listen to when I walk my dogs and do a few chores tomorrow.

Amanda (bookoutbelow) | 4048 comments A Pebble for Lewis does have an audio book, it's just bundled with book two!
https://www.audible.com/pd/Alaskan-Pe...

I also liked Dragon's Heat and the audio is on Hoopla (Sean Crisden narrator). It's 347 pages, but the audio book is only 4.5 hours which to me is more the usual length of a novella

If those don't sound good let me know, I'm an audiobook gal too so I can look through what I have and what I liked

Trio | 2789 comments I was thinking of maybe doing Trusted Bond, it works for Regular Bingo too. Another one of those series I've never finished - I'll have to buy it, but that's okay.

Amanda (bookoutbelow) | 4048 comments I SO wish there was a KU for audiobooks (better than the plus catalog), My amazon card bill every month is a scary thing because of audiobooks lol

message 155: by Trio (new)

Trio | 2789 comments So I am going with Trusted Bond - I updated my selection post #147.

Thanks for trying to help everyone, I appreciate it.

I don't look at my Amazon card bill Amanda, I think I'd die - my oldest son has a Prime account too (if you can believe that), and I just found out my daughter has been using Amazon Pay (I didn't even know that was a thing) to buy her makeup and other junk.

Guess I should have been checking that bill... LOL.

Now that my son's a full time student again though, I'm gong to look into changing his account to get a student discount.

message 156: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (bookoutbelow) | 4048 comments Oh yes I loved that student discount!

Amazon Pay is TERRIFYING lol. I already spend enough on Amazon, don't need to use it elsewhere

message 157: by Trio (new)

Trio | 2789 comments I don't know how that can even be a thing! She said it came up on her iPhone on some of her favorite stores, and she clicked it... and it worked. Hello! that doesn't mean it is FREE!

UGH

message 158: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (bookoutbelow) | 4048 comments My sister still pulls that stuff on my mom and she's 31 LOL.

That sounds fun! I'm gonna be honest, I didn't know The Black Forest was a real place until it was mentioned on Great British Bakeoff a couple weeks ago 🤣

Caipi, we also need your two word title book checked in over on the clue thread by tonight.

ETA if you haven't read a 2 word title book we can use a lucky break so no worries!

I love it there! When I was a child, my grandparents had a farm there and I spent a lot of holidays with them. The good old times.....
Now I travel there seldom although it's only a two and a half hours drive.

LOL, there you see how important shows like the Great British Bakeoff are. 😉Did they bake the traditional Black Forest Cherry Cake? It's only done right with a lot of Cherry Schnapps! 🤪

Just updated the two word title on the clue thread. 👍🏻

Hm, I think you mean the "Baumwipfelpfad" but no, we haven't been there.
But we hiked on top of the two mountains "Feldberg" and "Belchen", both over 1,400 metres so we had an amazing view. 😊

Yeah, they're a complete drain on the emotions, so I read them when I want to both laugh and cry lol. I also think the first 2 are better than the last two, so don't read those ones as often. I'm gonna save them for our next page count task as they're such big books.

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
224 pages Goodreads / Kindle
How it Qualifies: 38,479 reviews

Review: I definitely appreciated the subtlety of the dialogue more this time around. And I think what Wilde is saying impacts differently at this point in my life, than it did when I was seventeen. Excellent time for a re-read!

Janeylou | 2975 comments Trio...your book has to have to page count for first kindle edition, regardless of what you read and which edition you post

Ive only looked at first 2 pages and can see 1 published May 17 2012.. with 175 pgs , not sure if there is an earlier one

message 195: by Amanda (new)
