Book 1

Finding His Pack by Jena Wade

Review: A cute and easy read. Nothing really new, but sometimes you just need a comfortable read that you know you'll enjoy
Book 2

Hostile Takeover by Lucy Lennox
302 Pages
How it qualifies: Nekkid man chest on cover--see above (approved by Kat)
Completed: 10/18/2021
Rating: 4 Stars
Review: This had all the hallmarks of a great Lucy story and more! It was funny, sweet, and extremely steamy. Enemies to lovers is so hit or miss for me, as I either don't believe the "enemies" part, or I don't believe the turn to more, but both here worked so perfectly. Greyson definitely carried a grudge against Ellison and everything he represented, and it was more of a slow burn than Lucy usually delivers as they made there way from enemies to so much more. Wonderful characters, snarky banter, and a perfect second chance story. Lucy has done it again.

How fits ..whole chest seen on cover
This was a re read and gave a lower score the second time around , probably due in part to the fact that i knew about the little twist at the end 😄😄...but i didnt like the MCs as much either

Review:
A really captivating story that never slowed down. The MCs Niall and Mat are both interesting and especially Niall is full of hurt and raw emotions. I'm really glad that this series is completed and I'm going to read the next book right away.

I'm going to start reading a second one tonight but I won't have much reading time tomorrow so it'll be late Monday till I'll be finished. Should I add it or will you guys have enough books before?

Book 1

Happens Just Like That by C.W. Gray
Length: 203
How it Qualifies: Naked chest on cover
Read: 16 Oct
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
Review: Pretty funny. (I hope it was supposed to be humorous.) Naw, of course it was. Fated mates in space!
C.W. Gray is super creative with their descriptions of all the different species.
Audio nicely performed by Connor Brown.
Book 2

Master's Schiavo by Laura Lascarso
Length: 322
How it Qualifies: Naked chest on cover
Read: 19 Oct
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review: I love me a good Master/slave romance, and Laura Lascarso knocked it out of the park with this one! Most notably is Daniel Carter's performance. Right now I'm refusing to believe this is the DC I know who narrated the James Lear mysteries... more detective work is needed here.

I remembered state beginning with N, and New York, so I've lucked out - and I think Master's Schiavo takes place in New York so fingers crossed.

wow I didn't even notice that ugly 1st cover 😅
okay, all updated
I'll have my second book done later today or tomrrow morning. If anyone has a 2nd book done sooner that's no problem, I'll update my post.

mm grey covers
In the list but ive read all my grey ones for this month , so if anyone wants to change , feel free..im off out now so will check in later

My New York book ended up spending half the book in Italy so I can't use it - I'll pick something ASAP though!

Also since colored covers are always tricky everyone should check tineye or ask in the q&a thread before reading. I have been burned too many times with assuming lol

LOL, that's what I watched (listened to) in the dentist's chair yesterday - very soothing.
Yeah, I was just having an old crown removed and a new one is being made. Lots of Nitrous and novicaine!

Like at least 40 percent?
If we choose Black, I can do Memories of the Heart, takes place in NYC and is 60 percent black per tineye.

I didn't know that!! 🎂🍰
Watched a football game from last weekend. 🏈👍🏻

Review: What a great debut! I've had this one on my TBR since it was released, but for some reason I kept putting it off. I'm so glad a challenged pushed me to read it because I throughly enjoyed it. Well written, sweet, and a good level of steam
Book 2

Reckless by Kate Hawthorne
280 Pages
How it qualifies: 54.5% black on tineye
Date Read: 10/20/2021
Rating: 3.5 Stars
Review: It's a little hypocritical of me to like this as much as I did since I recently read a book with a similar type of age gap that made me highly uncomfortable, but it just didn't here. This was full of steam, was very sweet, and since I've read all of EM Lindsey's Cherry Creek series, it was full of characters I already loved.

First cover is 62.3% black
Second is 70.6% black.
I also added the percentages to my post on the other two books in case you need for your posts

Memories of the Heart by Felice Stevens

Review: *heart heart hear* Felice Stevens, her stories are always so heartwarming, what could be better? And Kale Williams, always yes.

I can read 2 girls ..will do my posts tomorrow"
I'd offer, but I haven't even started my R Bingo book!

Black Moon by Elle Keaton

How it qualifies: 70,4% black per TinEye

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5)
Review:
Perfect last book to this series. The mystery, which already started in book one is finally solved, all loose ends tied up.
Great character development, especially the transition of Niall from an grumpy loner to a loving partner, a solid part in a family and with friends.
Loved it!

Not as bad as i was expecting considering when it was written, thought it would be quite dated , it was the repetion and im not a mad fan on YA that made the stars low
Demons Do It Better by Louisa Masters
292 pfs first kindle edition

Finished 21 october

This was soo good, and super funny. Sam was a delight . It reminded me a little of the "Ross Young Supernatural PA" but much better . My only little niggle was grumpy Gideon, we didnt really get to know him

Found a short one though

I credit my speed to Law School. Being a major procrastinator and having to cover hundreds of pages a night made me have to pick up the pace quite a bit

(EG: if you see a STOP sign, you don't read the word, you just know what it says.)
To stop doing that, they say to trick yourself by distracting yourself - like listening to music, or touching your tongue to the roof of your mouth.
It takes practice, but it is helping.
Also, not to go back and re-read - I'm terrible like this, I do it all the time! They say to trust the author will reveal it all in time, don't go back LOL.
