Dang, I wish I'd picked that one Janine, I'm doing Hell Cop for my demon book and it's pretty lame.
I'll paste our completion post now.

LOVE this whole series. A lot of people don't like book 2 (I still did), but if for some reason you don't, don't give up because 3 and 4 are amazing

Task 9 - 63. Read a minimum of 1200 pages in books tagged 'magic' or 'magical'.
Books selected for this task need to be tagged 'magic' or 'magical'. Qualification can come from tags/shelves only. Variations of the words and combo tags will be allowed in context. Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count.

Review: I forgot how angsty Robbie's book was. Just so much pain, but watching the pack come together and Robbie and Kelly find love (again) was sweet and perfect.

Review: I thought I remembered this book causing less feelings than the others, but boy was I wrong. I think I cried for 45 minutes straight. A beautiful, if at times heartbreaking ending to this absolutely phenomenal series

I put the first one on my tbr shelf - I'm not a huge fan of this genre (excluding Jordan Castillo Price, of course), so it's good to have something for the next time I need it.

oh my gosh - you are a glutton for punishment! Those have been on my shelf for soooo long, I've been waiting for the right time to listen to them.

Review: Brush with Catastrophe has a good story, I just didn't love the characters as much as in the first book. Next time I need a book shelved magic, I'll still be looking to read Cataclysmic Shift.
Nice work by Kirt Graves with all those miaows.

Thanks Amanda

Sadly not quite as good as the previous book of this series. I permanently thought: Come on, Sammy, you have to see what a bad creature Lucifer is!
But I still enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading book 3 when I need it for a challenge.

I think around the new year is when Uno starts, or at least the sign ups are. Is anyone planning on doing that one? I'd love to be on a team with some MM readers this year as it makes those pesky reverse cards easier

Is it a complicated challenge Amanda?

Is it a complicated challenge Amanda?"
Difficult to explain, but I found it easy to play once it got going. I think the best part is when you sign up you say how many books you estimate you read a month, and then you're placed which fills in the rest of the numbers so you really are on the hook for just that many.
Each month your team gets a hand of uno cards and as a team you have to read for each one that has a corresponding thing. The one I remember most for some reason is that 5 is I so if there's a five someone on the team has to read a book that either: Has an I in the title, author name, character name, location name in book or 5th in series (it also doesn't have to be main characters or the only setting). Then you get color cards so if you had a blue 5 you'd have to read a blue book that also has one of those above. Like I said, difficult to explain, but if you have a good captain really easy to play and just slot in books that fit that you were gonna read anyway.
There's also mini challenges each month that give you some variety. It's easy and fun and because it's really luck of the draw which hands you get there's not a lot of pressure for winning as the hand you get might make so you're gonna win no matter what, or might make it so even if you read everything you'll place more middle. We got third last year (I think there are like 20 teams, it's a huge challenge), even though we completed everything, so again not a lot of pressure

My internal team tracking spreadsheet from last year: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...
and the actual team tracking spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

Last year myself , diane and Emmeline were on same tem saying we read 20 bks a month( and we were the 3 that read most ) , but Em dropped out half way so me and diane had to step up our game but helped that we could work out together whT worked for the tasks

Is Emmeline okay? I used to see her around a lot and now I don't.

Shes fine now , she had a few personal problems and split up with BF ..but she got a new job and BF and seems to be doing ok

good to know J, I've added it...
The second Aloysius Tales was okay - not a good as the first one, but that's just because I didn't love the characters as much.
I've changed my post to completion. I'm sooooo far behind with reading and reviews, I'm a little panicked, so I've tucked into bed to practice some of my speed reading skills. Wish me luck!
BTW, I'm reading Double Trouble and it's excellent!

Task 10 - 50. Read 6 books set in the same location, teams decide the location.
As a team select a location and read 6 books set in the selected location. If you choose a big city it is easy enough, but you are free to use the state if within the US or the country if outside the US. Remember to let me know how you know your book qualifies, be it title, precis, book details, tags or lists - I need to know where to look to confirm your books. Please include any necessary links or other information in your completion posts.

Oooh that's a good idea! Trio, let us know what helps you the most

ugh I've got Maine, the Alps, Amsterdam, and I think California (my PtP book is set in California too)
the Barbara Elsborg looks like a total fantasty thing so that won't help us.
I knocked out three this weekend so I feel a lot better - now it's the writing of the reviews...
Double Trouble was spectacular! Highly recommend!

California is pretty easy I think to find books in. (I'm assuming the Maine is KC Wells? lol).

I didn't give her enough feedback during the reading bc of my daughter's operation and husband's hospitalization. I promised her I'd re-read it now that it's finished and tell her why 4 and not 5 stars.
Honestly she made so many additions along the way, and she puts them all in a group IM... long story short, it can be confusing. So I never read the final draft.

As long as it's good with you all :)
I'll also start The Life Revamp tonight, but I'm sure someone else can do two books before I can finish that one.

I know you had said you was going to re read it.
I need to finish my current book first though

Team chose California

No clue if the Aussie accent is right done but I enjoyed Joel Leslie's narration.
