I've actually been reading really slowly lately but that book was really good and I couldn't put it down!

I think all 3 teams are pretty much level, weve come to a bit of a standstill and the remainder of hunt items will have to be read 1 at a time ..which isnt going to be easy with AR as well .
As far as individual goes just going to see what i can fit in from what ive read towards end of month

while we're in this standstill for SatC I've been catching up on other stuff and if something fits...

Just read Naked Ambition ..it says published sept 1st on page where it is always the first published date and just come.ro do completion post and paperback was released day before .
So now ive got to find another one 1π‘π‘

Not a bad written story per se, just not really my kind of story. I think my problem was that Liam was already in his forties. He's the rich spoiled kid since highschool and needed to get this old to understand that one can't buy real friendship, respect and love?! This realization should have come way earlier.

Rented Heart by Garrett Leigh
Published September 10, 2016
First kindle edition 190 pages
Read: 24 Sept
Rating: ββββ
Review: A lovely hurt/comfort romance just the way I like it. Garrett Leigh always writes such beautiful characters, and my heart really went out to both of these guys. It was a pleasure to watch them both find exactly what they needed in the other.
Rented Heart is book one in the series, but I actually read Soul to Keep first and didn't have any problems.

Trio all the links to our completion posts are in message 9 so you just have to link that one message to Kat

Just FYI, because I'm sure other tasks using the initial publication date will come up. If there is a date listed at the top of the editions page saying 'first published' - that is the date I want you to use. So your first book would have worked. I only look for the earliest date if there is not a date listed there.

Task 2 - 10. Read 4 books by authors who write under more than one name (Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb).
Books selected for this task need to be written by authors who write under more than one name. Authors such as Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb or Jayne Ann Krentz/Amanda Quick/Jayne Castle would work for this task. Please include a link to the authorβs profile or website showing both names in your completion posts.

This is a sweet romance. :)
Of course there's quite some drama around Samir's manipulative, abusive ex and all the thoughts and inner monologs because of him are understandable and reasonable but sometimes felt repetitive.
But there's also two lively cats and an amazing dog in the picture which lightened the story up with their shenanigans.

I must have stopped reading the blurb when i read about the tattoo artist ..i DID NOT read the bit about the religion or i probably wouldnt have read it,
That being said, it wasnt as religious as i expected but i really didnt feel for the 2 MCs

Seb's Summer by K.C. Wells
367 pages
How it qualifies: K.C. Wells also writes under the name Tantalus
Read: 26 Sept
ββββ
Review: I've been a beta reader for K.C. Wells for a long time now and I'm constantly amazed by her range as an author. Dealing with drug use, addiction, and education, Seb's Summer has a lot going on. It's a kick-ass romance too, with plenty of scorching hot sex.

scratch that Amanda, I'm changing to K.C. Wells

Unraveling the Omega by C.W. Gray
193 Pages
How it fits: CW Gray also writes under Chloe Gray (See Chloe Gray page)
Date Read:9/26/2021
Rating: 3 Stars
Review: I only read the first book in this series and didn't really like it so never read any more, but this on ended up being much cuter than I expected. The writing is still a little simplistic for my taste, but if I need these books for challenges in the future, I wont automatically write them off

Task 3 - 12. Read a book recommended to you by a teammate - no pass for this task.
You can do the recommendations however you wish - to the group, to each individual, to the person below you on the list or ?? - it's up to you. If you want to provide a specific shelf to pick from, it needs to have a minimum of 10 books on it.

Can we all check shelves and recommend a book to the other 3 that they havent read

Review: I was not expecting to like this as much as I did! It has a lot of things that I specifically try to avoid, I don't really like open/sharing, I like my HEA to happen between the original MCs, there's an MF relationship coming up later in the series, and I usually only read MMM if it's an author I already trust. But when a trusted friend recommended it to me (Thanks, Trio!), I decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad I did! Somehow, all those things I was worried about just worked with these (eventually) 3 characters. I really enjoyed Ripper's writing style, it was witty, raw, and real and I became completely enamored with these characters and their story. It was a great tale that explored relationship dynamics, sexual exploration, character growth, and just absolutely wonderful storytelling. Even if this book checks a bunch of boxes that you usually avoid, I implore you to give it a shot, I'm glad I did.

Wow, you and Amanda seem to know us and our book choices well! π

Review:
I enjoyed this first installment of a murder mystery series. We get to know newly transferred Detective Sergeant Blake Harte and some of the people he has to work with in this small town. The mystery which was more the kind of how-did-they-do-it than a who-did-it was interesting and at the end of the story there's even hint of a possible romance in the future.
So it is a solid setup and now I'm happy that I already own the next five books. :)
I listened to this part and the narration by Paul Woodson was well done.

Sorry Trio but this book wasnt for me , i usually dont mind BDSM , so not sure if my tastes have changed( as not read any for ages) or it was this book . Dint particularly connect with either MC , mystery ok, DEF didnt like the girly bits ( even though there were only a few )
The matchsticks were the best bits ..sorry

I honestly thought I wouldn't like it but it was SO good. My first from Ripper, so please recommend more.

Disciplinary Action by Onley James
329 pages
How it qualifies: Recommended by Amanda
Read: 2 Oct
Rating: ββββ
Review: Well I really enjoyed that! Not only is the storyline a creative twist on an old favorite, but Onley James adds in some nice daddy-boy kink and D/s exchanges which work well in advancing the development of the relationship. That opening scene is fantastic.
The break out character for me is Leo, who grows quite a bit emotionally over the course of Disciplinary Action. He's got an interesting backstory, and one day I'd love to get Leo and Grant's story.

Im sorry Trio, but the matchstick puzzles.is probably the best part of the book ..π

Wow, I hope you enjoyed them all! Should this series be read in order or is it possible to read the books just like they work for challenges?
