Review:
Its quite a while since I last read a book in the series - and I did enjoy this one, but I couldn't recall much about the previous MCs and some of the side characters so I think my rating suffers a bit due to that.
But I enjoyed the story and backgrounds on our MCs Brent and Scott. An easy way to spend the afternoon.

This book is a fine example of why we as humans shouldn't attempt to label everything! Well, except when it comes to "home" organization! *grin*

Were Cade and Elias really straight or were they just two people who made each other happy in and out of the bedroom? See... NO need for a label! Is this concept going to catch on any time soon? Of course not because then it wouldn't allow haters to hate... grrr

As for the story, if the author gives me great characters, I will let a lot slide on the story end... but, this story worked well for me and I got some great characters! Sometimes we just need an easy read that makes us smile and trust me, this one did! Looking forward to reading Hit or Miss, to Kill or Kiss! Interesting... very interesting...

Really loved the Daddy/Boy relationship in this book. Didn't like Dante all that much to begin with but just knew he'd been treated like crap or he wouldn't act out the way he did. Cash is hired to be the drummer but more importantly to help Dante not kill himself. Dante's dad was an ass but his bandmates were great considering. Very entertaining read. Will read more from this author for sure.

What I would change in this story... absolutely NOTHING! *grin*

I am a huge Lily Morton fan and this story is a prime example of why! Mal and Cadan are strong characters that were let down in the past by the very people who should have had their backs instead of stabbing them in the back... grrr

BUT, and I love it when there is a "but"... they slowly realize that together they are stronger than they could ever be apart! It's not an easy realization for either one of them... that may have required a bit of help from their very own "fairy godmother" (I'm sure Maisy will forgive me!) to bring them the HEA that they deserved but the love that they found will give you the warm and fuzzy feels that we look for when reading a romance!

This series just hasn't really worked for me and I don't really know why. Perhaps if the stories had all flowed together in one book I would have rated higher - but by the time I read the two successive books, I was disconnected from the characters :(

I did enjoy it, but just not as much as I expected.

Narrated by Glen Lloyd - very happy with his narration.

This was a fun book. Jai was Owen's roommate from the Love & Luck series but he moved to be the royal children's tutor. You can guess what went down when the closeted king and Jai finally got together. The smexing wasn't as steamy as some of her other books and there wasn't really any big angsty scene so overall just a fun read.

Wow, I thought this book was long at 370 pages but when I opened my kindle it was actually 463.
That I think is part of the problem. For me this book was about 200 pages too long. I found myself just wanting to get on with the story. I admit for me it did get better at around 50%.
Previous books which had cat shifters/ familiars in were funny, full of snark and I loved them. This book however sees the cat changing into a himan in the first couple of pages and considering he was a cat with no human experiences, he copes well in human society.
I guess I was disappointed that there wasn't the snark.

Well, I have a couple of things that bothered me... like, for instance, what the heck happened to Kit there at the end of the story? She just disappeared... grrr

But, I also found the ending intriguing and hope the storyline gets a bit more adventurous! *grin*

As with the first book, the story was a bit bland, but at least this one had a bit of action and as before, the characters were quite entertaining!

Now, I just have to find time to read Healing For His Omega... I think we will be looking at Benjamin and Kurt. This one may be a real tearjerker...
