In Maharashtra state, 10th standard is considered as the ending of High school. 11th and 12th are considered as junior college.

really!?!? i have quite some friends form maharashtra, and a few relatives there too, but this is the first i'm hearing of it! so do you study like we do in 11th 12th, or is the course structure different?

It's the same, just a different name. and We get to choose between Science, Commerce and Arts in 11th but I think that is standard for the whole country.

And, from what I've been hearing recently, arts has a lot more job opportunities than the main two branches right now

Oh no! I wasn't dressed up as a character because I couldn't manage to get a costume but I did some good amount of makeup for the first time in my life and nobody saw it.
