Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments In sooth, I know not why I am so sad. It wearies me; you say it wearies you; But how I caught it, found it, or came by it, What stuff 'tis made of, whereof it is born, I am to learn;
And such a want-wit sadness makes of me, That I have much ado to know myself.
- Line 1, Page 1, Antonio, The Merchant of Venice, William Shakespeare.

Me: me too friend, me too.

message 755: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments But it probably doesn't even make sense.

message 756: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments I think I should write the translation.

Translation: Truly, I do not know why I feel so sad. The feeling makes me depressed, and you say that it makes you depressed too. Where I had the feeling from, fount it, or got it, and what it consists of and how it originated, I have yet to know. The depression makes me such a dull fellow, that I fail to know who I am.

message 758: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments My whole life is summed up in this paragraph.

message 759: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments But this is the only relatable thing in this whole book.

message 760: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments and also the paragraph where Bassanio agrees that Gratiano talks a lot and nothing he says makes sense.

message 761: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments His dialogues are like a page long and all of it is useless rubbish that does not make sense.

message 762: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments I could give you an example but I'm too lazy to type so much.

message 763: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments Mrunal wrote: "and also the paragraph where Bassanio agrees that Gratiano talks a lot and nothing he says makes sense."

and also the one where Shylock says that Launcelot Gobbo speaks senseless words. That is the only dialogue of Shylock that I like.

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments I don't know why schools make us read these classics. I mean they're great but when you read it by yourself, not when a teacher reads it monotonously in front of a very noisy class.

message 765: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments Am I even making any sense right now? No, not at all.

message 766: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments I'll just go for a while.

message 768: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments But I can't

message 769: by Marie (new)

Marie | 1726 comments why can't you reread them?

message 771: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments The former two are great, but Witch Born is just pure boring.

message 772: by Marie (new)

Marie | 1726 comments ahh i see. do you like them so far?

message 773: by Marie (new)

Marie | 1726 comments that's a pity, i just read the summary and it sounded quite interesting

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments Marie wrote: "why can't you reread them?"

ohh i hate it when that happens.

message 777: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments Yeah... It took me forever to reach 24% and now I don't want to pick it up....

message 778: by Marie (new)

Marie | 1726 comments i guess you could just stop reading it... but i personally always feel obligated to finish a book i started, or even the whole series haha

message 779: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments No, I can't stop reading it because of the very same reason. I have already dnf'd two books. I can not dnf one more.

message 780: by Marie (new)

Marie | 1726 comments yeah i understand that... do you think putting it on hold for a while will make it better? like reading a few other things in between?

message 781: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments Marie wrote: "yeah i understand that... do you think putting it on hold for a while will make it better? like reading a few other things in between?"

Maybe it can... what do you think?

message 782: by Marie (new)

Marie | 1726 comments i personally never tried it, i always pushed myself to read the books i didn't like as fast as possible in order to get over with it. however, an irl friend of mine has put several books on hold and picked them up later on and for her it really worked!

message 783: by Mrunal (new)

Mrunal (darkicecoffee) | 8565 comments You might have a great willpower to do that. I think I will do the same as your friend.

I’ve personally done that a lot of times, I think it will work. Maybe read something you know you’ll enjoy meanwhile. :)

message 785: by Marie (new)

Marie | 1726 comments go for it! also let me know whether it helps :)

haha willpower/iron discipline is something i've to thank my perfectionism for

message 790: by Nimrat (new)

Nimrat | 2356 comments Yes I agree. You should put the book on hold of you don't want to dnf it.

But if I'm liking a book, I dnf it. (Provided it wasn't a physical copy)
