Review: Not my favorite of the series but still entertaining. I like a lot of action and nothing much happens until the end of this book. Sam and Jared are preparing for their coronation ceremony and training with their team. A few minor storylines here and there with some new and entertaining characters, but nothing that really grabbed my attention. I do really enjoy the characters though, and that is what really kept me going through most of the story. I did enjoy it enough however to keep on going with the series and will definitely read the next one.

Book: The Sinner

Review:
I liked this book but didn't love it. I've been waiting to see what Ward was going to do with intrepid reporter Jo for a few novels now and ultimately I was satisfied with how it all went down. But there was too much Butch. I'm over Butch. And I wasn't a huge fan of Syn's redemption - it all felt a little too... quick from the damaged male he was to where he ended. I don't buy it. It didn't feel right.
I'm not sure I'm thrilled with how integrated this series is becoming with the Fallen Angel's series considering I gave up on that one after book 3 or 4. I am glad about the lesser storyline... mostly because I've never been a big fan of it. Maybe I'm a bit too much of a paranormal romance fan and the urban fantasy side of this series was a bit of a downer but in some of the other books of the BDB series I've loved the action and near death experiences.
Basically I think this was a bit of a filler book before the series moves onto other things. It wasn't that memorable and I've only just finished it. But it was nice to be back in the BDB world.

For this shelf I will be reading Fevre Dream

Review:
I really enjoyed this comedic story. I am so use to reading urban fantasy that sometimes when i read a light & fluffy PNR I keep doing comparisons and wanting more in depth writing. After about 25% I was in and just enjoying the witty writing and the characters. Delaney is on the run from her ex boss who is a mobster. She stumbles into Eternadate matching agency for super naturals and assumes the identity of one the matches. She doesn't know it was for super naturals. Hugh is one of 3 grandsons and his Grandmother has set this up. Once they find out she is not the selection and her story comes out about how she got there and why, the bad guys are on her trail. Will definitely continue with the series. I liked the idea of a town full of super naturals and humans not knowing.

Have a good summer!

Review:
I really like bad boys, Vishous is one of my favorite warriors. After reading this, he may well be my fave.
While the story's main focus is on V and Jane, the side story is all about John Matthew. We get to see inside V and learn about his youth and his torment and all the things that make him who he is. He finds out who his mother is and why she wasn't physically present.
As is the norm for V, his world got jack-knived twice in this book While this did seem to change him, it also allowed him to grow and to accept that some things are more complicated than what they seem at face value.
I like he and Jane together; I really felt like he deserved a better resolution with all the things he has endured. Still the ending was intriguing.
Oh, Phurry wins friend of the decade for his antics in this one!

This seemed to be a shorter round. Enjoyed reading with you all!
