Joseph (bluemanticore) | 433 comments This is probably going to sound like an odd request, but I need some help with completing a reading challenge. I have to read 26 books, one paranormal creature per book, either male or female, using either first or last names. Any paranormal character is acceptable.

I only have Y left to do and need some help finding a book that has a paranormal character whose first or last name begins with Y. The only one I have found is the title character from the Jane Yellowrock series by Faith Hunter and I've read all those. It doesn't have to be a main character, just has to be some sort of paranormal being. Anything will work, Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, etc. I read it all. TIA.

P.S. If you are interested in checking out the challenge, it can be found here:

Juels | 3312 comments Does it have to be the main character? In the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs, Baba Yaga makes a few appearances. She's definitely in Fire Touched.

"Who's been killing the vampires of London, tearing open their coffins to let in lethal sunshine as they sleep--and then drinking their blood?"

Oooooh. I forgot about that. I take back my earlier suggestion, Lord of Light is a better choice.

John Green | 63 comments It seems only fair also to mention Yog-Sothoth in the Cthulhu mythos of H P Lovecraft.
