I was given this book in return for an honest review. This is not your average vampire book. The Coffin girls are unique. They are vampire witches, they each have their own special talents. Necromancy, empath, etc. Their den mother , so to speak us a voodoo priestess, her nephew is a werewolf and they all live on the Pappillion Plantation, where they do planning and hosting of events. They hide their special secrets from the others in the vampire community. When Anais is told by her maker, Yves, ...more

What do you do when you have a secret that would end your life as you know it if it ever got out?
Anais is a ridiculously beautiful Vampire Witch, but shhhhh don’t tell since it is a MAJOR secret. She is told by her maker that she will be hosting the Conall the Witch Prince in her home with her sisters who are also Vampire Witches. While dealing with trying to keep this secret away from the prince, lusting after him and fending off advances from one of her best friends, she comes to realize that

I was gifted this book by the wonderful Aneesa for an honest review and I can't thank her enough!!

Coffin Girls is a fabulous beginning to what is going to be an excellent series and I can't recommend this book enough to anyone looking for a new read! I started this on Thursday night and finished Friday afternoon! It was so good I dreaded putting it away just so I could actually sleep!

What I enjoyed most about this book is that it had so many different elements to it. Vampires, witches, werewolves, ghosts, necromancers, fairies, and a whole host of magickal creatures, are all combined to create a story which takes the reader on an unforgettable journey into the world of the coffin girls.

The author impressed me with her splendid writing and the finer details she added to fluff out the characters and thus drawing the reader deeper into the story. The plot progresses at a leisu

Ok so firstly i'd like to say a massive congrates to Aneesa Price for a truly new take on the vampire, witch, werewolves fae community.

Coffin girls is about a group of female vampire's that run a very successful event and wedding planning business from their plantation home in New Orleans. The main character is a sexy female vampire called Anais. Anais is a very guarded vampire and will do anything to protect her family, Anais and her sisters have secrets that they keep hidden from the Vampire c

This is an erotic book masked as a paranormal fantasy, make no mistake. But, don't get hang up on this new label either. Aneesa brings us Vampires with a twist. Witches with a blood thirst and warlocks with passion. The explicit nature of the book will find resonance with many a reader and if that is not your passion, then the paranormal will have you hooked.
My personal favorite, the prose used to describe a plantation manner, and lifestyle.
The history behind the true Coffin girls was new for

Awesome read 4.5 stars.
Loved how the author threw in some history. Loved the family bond the girls had, and even with Miss Suzzette and Raulf. I enjoy a paranormal story that combines the different immortals. This story had witches, vampires, werewolves and fae, and they all united together.

This book had many of the ingredients for a quirky fun new look at the vampire romance genre. I was refreshingly amused by the idea of a house full of lady vampires who run an elegant catering business that sees to the human and not so human population of New Orleans for all their finely catered party needs. Naturally, there has to be a little bit of trouble tossed the ladies' way or it wouldn't be a good story.

The vampire ladies of the Papillion Mansion, their faithful voodoo priestess cook, Mi

For me, it was a little challenging to get into this book and get really interested right away. Especially at the beginning, there is a lot of description of an event then taking place which did not particularly interest me. I did not know any of the characters or how they were related. A bit later that becomes clearer. The personalities begin to emerge, and once Anais is drafted by her shifty maker to become a special liaison to a powerful group of witches my interest picked up conside

A WaAr review.

Anais has carried around a chip on her shoulders for the better part of a century. Other than her tight circle of friends she trusts no one. In fact she gods behind her work and caring for everyone else so she doesn't have to put her walls down and place her feelings out there. however, the situations of late threaten to change her plans and rock

I read this after having read the second book in the series and I think that's okay. Both books are complete unto themselves, yet work very well together seamlessly. I loved Price's definition of "coffin girls," aka: casket girls. Nope, not defining it for you, you'll have to read the book.

This book has it all and in spades. There's vampires, witches, vampire witches, a voodoo queen, a werewolf and an interesting collection of other supernatural characters. Stirring everything up is one of the m

I have read a lot of vampire books yet this one offers something different. The Coffin girls are not just vampires but they are also part witch too having special gifts of empathy and necromancy to name a few. Surrounded by their extended family of a powerful voodoo priestess and her nephew who is an Alpha werewolf, they all live on the Plantation together with a few resident ghosts. They keep their gifts a secret from the Vampire Council and blend in with the humans in New Orleans by becoming W ...more

I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with this book. Love, secrets, action, supernatural, Louisiana it all combined to make the perfect story. This is not your average vampire story, this is more! You have a group of vampire, witches that have each have their own powers. Not only that they run their own business of being wedding planners! “Coffin Girls (Elegantly Undead: Book 1 of the Coffin Girls Witch Vampire Series” by Aneesa Price is a fun paranormal romance set in present day New Orleans. Vampire Anais runs an event and wedding planning business with her sisters. Flirting with werewolf Raulf and tempted into a romance with him she is taken off guard when she meets Irish Conall O’Leary, the Prince of Witches, and develops strong feelings for him.
Anais and her sisters are however no ordinary Vampires and have to hide a family

First let me preface by saying this - I am notoriously critical of vampire books. Anyone who knows me,knows I wont read just ANY vampire book. Add in witch-lore and the Fae,I may fling it across the room and not finish it at all. So many are inaccurate and feed the untruths and biased opinion many have of witchcraft or those who practice it,or the books simply bore me with their vampire stupidity.

I can officially say that Aneesa Price has not only found a fan,but a friend, for life in me. Coffin

I wasn't really sure what to expect when I started reading this book but I loved it and it was better than I was expecting! The more I progressed through this book the more I couldn't put it down! The plot to this book was a great twist on vampires and it was very original! There were also a lot of twists in the plot as well! I found Coffin Girls, Elegantly Undead, to be a slow moving story that tempted me to skim its pages and skip ahead. I thought the plot was good, but there wasn't anything keeping me interested enough to really enjoy the story.
I'm also not a huge fan of writing that reads like a manual - giving an almost blow-by-blow of events rather than using imagery to create a sense of being there. I would have enjoyed a little less t

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Honestly...I was torn between a five and four star rating because I want to give it a four and a half. :) Set primarily on a Louisiana plantation, the story's set up fit perfect for romance and mystery. I liked the characters and the plot, the action was good, the love triangle sizzled. I personally favored Raulf, but hey...Anais isn't me, so what the heck. Ha! Coffin Girls is hopefully the first of a series that I feel can only get better. It introduces the reader to a houseful of female Vampires who in their previous human lives carried the blood of witches which gives them very unique powers as Vampires. The story starts with Anais being asked by her maker Yves to host the Witch Prince and his two guards whilst they are visiting with hopes of forming an alliance. I got a free e-book from the writer in return for an honest review, this didn't influence my opinion in any way!

Have to confess the cover made me doubtful if I ever was going to get through this book, but luckily some friends advised me to give it a try.
Although this is a book about vampires (as the picture shows clearly), it's a lot more about witches and other paranormal creatures than about vampires. And that's just the nice thing about the book, you expect something and you get a whole story
