I really hope you can relax and enjoy this last month of the challenge - read what you want, list it here and I will find some way to use it in our hands as I have done for the last two months.
Now I have to go to work and I think I need a little break from UNO. I'll be back tomorrow night. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

You are correct in analyzing that I was angry. Vindictive? Nah. Also, you misunderstood the reason for my anger. Yes, I was irritated that the shelves weren't checked yet were stated as guides to help participants. But I asked you before picking up every book up for mini challenge. Even Leo Gray and the Lunar Eclipse
I didn't just randomly start reading it, you added my name to the task list and didn't tell me the book isn't valid. Also, as I sent you the link the book is within limits of the rules, i.e. clearly more than 100+ pages, 3 hrs+ audiobook, 25,000+ words. Idk what else you expect from the book. I also have my thesis work to consider and I only read it to Help the TEAM. So obviously it's frustrating and makes me angry that you are informing me after I have read it.
Why would I compete with the team? I never even considered that perspective until you said it. Is claiming cards competing with team? Am sorry but for every book club I am a part of I add BOTM in my tbr at the end of each month. You can say am organized, idk about competitive.
Last thing, the previous captain was v open minded and well, nice. But am sorry to even point it or say it, I found your words very discriminatory, and judging. If some book fits rules and people didn't know about it, it was accepted or even if it was rejected, it was stated in a better manner. At the end of this challenge she even told me that I introduced her to new books. That is one of the aims of the challenge right? Or is it just reading popular YA or Adult romance?
I have been feeling very unhappy and honestly this year, not getting any FUN vibes from this challenge. I ignored several of your comments about my reading taste. But it has to stop somewhere right? I had finished my quota of mini challenge books, I claimed last two books only to help the team. Since its Holi in my country, and I had a holiday. But you can't even trust your team members. Why would I claim a card om 26 MAR if I can't finish it before the end of the month? But still, my patience is limited so yes, you can finish both the books now. I don't have enough energy to argue.
Yes it was SUPPOSED to be a FUN challenge, but alas! It's not.
P.S. I don't even have Google Sheets downloaded to check who is reading what % or who is reading more/less. That's why I keep asking you to post the no of books left to complete here. If I was competing against team members I would sit with a diary and jot down who's reading what. Am not so petty as you ASSUME and you JUDGE me to be.

Lindsay - Gemina
Allison - Eclipse Bay
Everyone okay with the list? We have some backups if anyone gets overwhelmed.
Thanks for playing guys!

Isn't that disappointing when it happens? I wondered because you were flying through them last month. Hope this one gets better. Strong finish at least. :D

Awesome, thank you Lindsay.

4 books in progress for the mini and 43 hours left to finish them. :D We got this.

That was my bad. It should be there now :)

Thanks Jennifer - please add to your UNO shelf when you get a chance. :D

My province is going into lockdown again tomorrow too. It doesn't really affect me much as we are take-out anyway in the winter, but still, annoying when we are tarred with the same brush as southern Ontario.
Hope you all have a lovely Easter (or whatever you celebrate) and get lots of lovely reading time. Take care team!

In Denmark a lot of things will be opening up from the coming Tuesday but then starts regional closings, at least 4 regions are staying closed until the 11th because of infection numbers.
It doesn't affect me a lot as the food shops are open and have been the whole time.
Apart from that, i hope to read another couple of books or more over this weekend.

I've added it but if need be it might also work for blue as TinEye say it is 50,4 % blue (I know we don't as such use that anymore)

Looks blue enough to me, we can use it for 3 Blue (WD4). Thanks Jane!

Sounds like a nice weekend Nikk, hope you all enjoyed it. We had a quiet Easter, but the weather was perfect for walking, so that was a great excuse to get outside.

One challenge we have for this month, is a Draw 2 card that has to work for Reverse and 0. So if people could recommend a standalone that they have read and enjoyed in the past (fiction or nonfiction) then perhaps someone else on the team will be able to read it for us. A Z title or author or character would work too of course.
My 5 stars standalone suggestions:

The Prison Healer
0 - Place - Zalindov
1 - 1st in series

3 - title
9 - author
Skip - title

Pump Up the Volume! And get your flashy (pink) accessories ready! April Mini Challenge
This is an optional mini challenge for our UNO players. This month we are going to go through life as a teenager in the 80s.
Do you remember the fashion and the gadgets? Those really bright colours? *grin*
As a team, you need to read for the specified tasks that have been given to you. Some have to be done, others are optional but will gain your team more points.
◈ Your team has to complete 38 main tasks.
◈ For each completed task, your team will receive 10 points.
◈ For completing these 38 tasks, your team will receive 30 bonus points.
◈ There are 21 additional optional tasks.
◈ For each completed additional task, your team will receive 10 points.
◈ These optional tasks do not award a completion bonus.
◈ Tasks (main and/or optinoal) do not have to be read in order.
◈ Books can be started at any point since the start of the UNO challenge (Feb 1)
◈ Books need to be finished after the start of this mini challenge on April 15, 9am UTC (countdown is here) and before May 1 at 9am UTC (when the UNO challenge unfortunately ends).
◈ Books used for this mini challenge do not need to be separate books for what you are claiming for your UNO hands.
◈ The usual book length rules apply.
◈ Team spreadsheets will be updated with a mini challenge tab so that you can track your books and claim your points.
