So guys just to know I am done with my pages, can we start later today, like 21:00, Bulgarian and Egypt time and 11:00 am in US, I am sorry!
So.... Ridiculous part: how did Lou realize that madame was Reid's mom by just looking in their eyes?!
Bett, true! I feel like it was a treat in the beginning and then the author forgot and went on with Lou only. Because it's easier
I agree with you Bett most of the chapters are Lou but I actually really like Reid’s point of view
Hi ladies! sorry I've missed the discussions so far, I've been trying to catch up! I'm almost caught up with today, and I look forward to discussing with you all :) by the way, my name's Bella, I'm 22, and I'm also from the US!
I felt like Reid finally showed some personality, like he wasn't just a close minded robot. And how did he become so soft, caring, and a real gentleman??? Genetically or what?! No one taught him that in church, obviously.
I know when he started showing his feeling toward Lou it was really sweet. Maybe it’s because of his past relationship with Celie or the fact that Lou has a completely different personality that the people he has always been around.
And that scene where he "kissed the place where neck meets the shoulder " or something like that... Didn't it remind you of a scene from a different book??? Even her words in that moment! OMG, I need to pick 'Crooked Kingdom ' right now to compare!
Okay, I really loved the paraghraps where Ansel is warning or even protecting Lou, what do you think
Sophia, Celie is a complete opposite of Lou, so Reid could've still abused Lou for ruining his life with this marriage, but he didn't
Me to Bett, I like that Ansel doesn’t just automatically hate Lou just because she is a witch. He actually acknowledges that she is a good person even if she does have magic.
Okay, my view: Reid = Matthias, Lou = Inej and Nina, Ansel =Wylan, and all this French? That's just like real languages in Grishaverse
So the characters have the same pesonalites and looking, also the same quote. That sound suspicious :)
The two scenes are same, but different :D I liked the depth of characters in CK, however, SaD is hotter.
Okay, but to defend poor Shelby, the steamy scenes are wow and I really feel the chemistry between the characters
Oh, and I also felt all those fights and small events are so random, they were just left there in the book to balance the romance driven narrative. There is still no plot! I'm still waiting... Meeting her mom can't be the main problem of the book. So, yeah, it just about the romance. I expected more, to be honest. Though, I love the romance part , but it's not enough to fulfill reader's needs.
I think the plot may be about how Lou is trying to escape her fate, her mom's trying to kill her because she believes that in her death, their kind will find peace?
