So what do you think about the plot? Did you find any major problem? What is your opinion on all this "marriage and obedience to husband" ? How did you react when Lou was flirting with the minor?
I got like offended when the Archbishop kept on saying to Reid to make Lou behave like he owned her. Also I didn’t really think about how Ansel is a minor to Lou. I also think it is funny how Reid keeps on calling Lou a heathen.
How old is Lou anyway? I thought like she was over 18 considering her language and talk about making out with Bas
Like she don't have an opinion, like she wasn't a person. It is funny how they both despise each other but we all now that they will be couple in the end.
The problem was even worse that Reid feels like it's the right thing to do to make Lou obey. He will probably become a feminist by the end of the book, but it's so wrong because in real life those guys raaaaarely change
Right I think the same thing that he will change but it is kind of unrealistic. I guess I get why he is that way since that is all he has ever learned and he did not even want get married in the first place.
All this thing reminds me of the culture of where I live now. In Egypt it's an average family: a woman stays home and obeys, a man owns a woman
Sophia, yes. Realistically speaking, he needs life to kick him in the butt to reconsider his ideas. And another few years at least.
About the good parts, I was laughing when Reid gave Lou that romance book. Their dialog was hilarious.
He made a problem only because she had left the place where he had said her to be, what will happen if she betrayed him, huh, he will kill her? With all this ,,We are not gonna harm her!". She has her own opinion and she want to have somebody to talk with.
However, I feel bad that Lou is like a replacement for the girl he is in love with. So if (when) they get together, would it be true feelings or him trying to get over that girl?
I really wanna make one prediction. Maybe the girl will come, as she want an explanation for the letter.
Yes! But also he keeps comparing them because they are opposites so I also wonder if he will ever stop loving Cecile even though she kind of broke his heart
Sophia, oh, that reminded me of one part I didn't agree with. When Lou was saying that his girl is not a real woman just because she isn't edgy and feisty like Lou.
I think I would like it to but I don’t really think it will happen since Cecile already rejected Reid
Hi everyone! I'll be back in 40 minutes for our chat, just wanted to say something to Bett.... HOW DID YOU DEVIDE THOSE CHARACTERS???!!! It always ends on something cool!
Ladies today I won't be able to discuss the chapters with you, cause I am travelling without Internet, so I will see you tomorrow. Just in case for starting topic I love Coco and Lou's friendship. Maybe I will join in some time later. Bye
That's sad. :( Have a nice trip!Yes, I liked her friendship with Coco too.
And that last scene with the price reminded me of ToG, the first book with Dorian and Chaol at that ball.
