Bad link Kylie :)
The Woman in the Library is a new stand-alone novel by Australian author, Sulari Gentill, which will be out next May. Smart and funny, this is murder mystery at its most entertaining.5★s

The third book in Australian author Robert Gott's Holiday Murders series, The Autumn Murders is a very atmospheric historical crime fiction read.4.5★s

While I gave the print version of Liane Moriarty's latest novel, Apples Never Fall 5★s, the audio version is read by Caroline Lee whose voice, unless played at a much-reduced-from-normal volume, has a sharp, grating quality that does not make for a pleasant listen. I persisted, because I like the book, but had to drop a star for the voice.4★s

The Mark by Matt Brolly, fourth in his excellent Detective Louise Blackwell seriesreview: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Hi all! After 4 months of reading, here is my review of War and Peace. Hope you enjoy!!https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I’ve said before how critical the narrator is to the enjoyment of an audiobook, and I’m disappointed that Wavesound Audio chose such a bland narrator for the audio version of The Final Cut by Robert Jeffreys. I feel that David Muscat’s voice is utterly lacking in the gravitas that the protagonist is due. This is dark, gritty crime fiction but he reads it like a children’s story and does this excellent Australian novel a grave disservice. I gave the print version 5★s but, sadly, had to abandon the audio at 10%. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

The Wattle Seed Inn by Leonie KelsallMy review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The classic Graham Greene novel, The Quiet American, is up there with my favourites. Vietnam in the early 1950s - what a mix of people and a mess of politics and war, plus a love story.
5★ Link to my review of The Quiet American
I've enjoyed some real winners in the Amazon Original Stories series, but this was not one of them. Oh. What. Fun. by Chandler Baker seems to have amused other readers. Not me.
2★ Link to my review of Oh. What. Fun.(not)
The Hawthorne School by Sylvie PerrySet in a gothic looking school, this book started with a great premise but didn't quite deliver. A good read but I found the main character annoyingly clueless.
