Its available on Amazon Prime (I believe with a Britbox subscription) in the US. I've seen a few episodes, and have liked it enough to be curious about reading one of the books. With so many British police procedurals its tough to distinguish one from another, but I liked that it focuses mainly on his police work and doesn't delve too deep into his personal life.

Originally published in Germany back in 2007, the first five books in the series have been translated and published in English and they serve as the basis for the Netflix series that is now in its third season.

Araych | 676 comments So Much Blood So Much Blood (Charles Paris #2) by Simon Brett by Simon Brett

Charles Paris #2, OK to read as a stand-alone. Paris is performing at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, and gets involved in a possible murder. This book was a bit of a disappointment. I never believed in most of the characters and the deus-ex-machina ending was just absurd. 2 stars, I won't be continuing with this series, although I do like some of Brett's other work

Andy Carpenter #9, OK to read as a stand-alone. Andy defends an ex-drug addict accused of a 6-year-old mass murder. I thought this was one of Rosenfelt's best, with an interesting plot/puzzle and action that buzzed right alone. 4 stars.
