Updated msg 5Just completed another “I” title - In an Absent Dream by Seanan McGuire. I appreciate the author calling out sexism in education and family values. But I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the others in the series. The ending felt unfair, even if I understand it logically. But as the author herself says, this is not a fairytale. Worth reading. 4 stars

V title - Girl Gone Viral by Alisha Rai. This was a delightful, charming novel that didn’t shy away from addressing big topics, like privacy and anxiety and ptsd. I loved both of these characters, and I smiled through most of the book. “Small talk was the fifth horseman of the apocalypse.” Also, loved learning about the early NorCal Punjabi settlers! I received this book as a free giveaway in exchange for my honest review. Definitely worth reading! 5 stars
