Is there maximum exp we can get from Nick?
"Provide at least 3 goblin bones to the necromancer. +5 experience for the first 3 goblin bones. Turn in up to 3 more for an additional +1 experience each"Yeah, 6 bones total. So +5 for the first chunk of 3 then +1 for each additional up to 3.
I can still only dream of kiling goblins! That mangy sewer rat is giving me enough trouble currently. Grrrr.

OK, somehow, every time I've read it I missed that up to, so I've read it like, every time I give him 3 bones I get 1 exp.
Good thing I asked or Nick would be full of bones :P
That's my plan, as soon as I've gathered these last few berries it'll be time to level up that staff a couple of times!
Kelly wrote: "Ahh, gotta level up a weapon more :) Then you can one hit the sewer rats for free exp each week."*snikers*
Yep. After level 3 all you need is to show rat your sword/staff and it drops dead from fright.
Zee wrote: "I can still only dream of kiling goblins! That mangy sewer rat is giving me enough trouble currently. Grrrr."It really pays to level up at least one of your weapons as high as you can to minimize damage of monsters aaannnddd have a bunch of minimum page "sacrifice books" to gain more exp points with repeat attacks.

FEAR MY SWORD RAT!
Alex wrote: "Kelly, it would be helpful if you noted which quests are a month long and which are longer."Heh. Yeah, but that would require me knowing which quests are going to be around longer :)
My general plan is quests with with 3-5 books required will stick around for 1-2 months. Quests with 5+ books required will stick around for 2-3 months. Quests that require very specific requirements or things outside your control will be 3+ months.
I still plan to give the 2 weeks notice on any quests that are ending and I'll let you guys know sooner when I know. I put the end date on the Academy one so people would be able to plan better for BOMs.
Once I get March quests back under control I'll figure out which ones are ending in March. My backlog of quests has been decimated by the second February update though so I must build it back up.
Sorry if this has been asked but just to clarify, that's one common monster fight per week, or is it one fight as per sewer rat, goblin, etc. in a week?
each common monster is on it's own timer. So you can fight one rat, one goblin and one bat each week. (They're on separate timers so if you fight a rat on monday and a goblin wednesday, the rat is available again on the following monday and the goblin the following wednesday).
Walks into the tavern and has a look around. Thinks "these people are crazy and I like it" I head to the bar and ask for a tasty brewski, yum. So, what's happening here?
I went to fight a goblin, looked him dead in the eyes I did. Then all of a sudden I realized I was not strong enough to fight him and kill me dead as a door nail he would. I ran back here to The Tavern as fast as I could. Now I am depressed and drinking my weakling sorrows away.
I wouldn't. Lord Alex the flirt cannot hold his liquor. We had a mishap before. My suggestion to Lord Alex the Flirt is to get reading and level up those weapons and work on XP. *Slaps the drink out of Lord Alex the Flirt's hand and points him to the door.*
Yes ma'am.*Turns towards the door, takes two steps towards it, then runs back to the bar chugging the last of Stacie's beer before running back out the door ducking Lady Rachel's swinging sword*
Sir Margaret walks into the Tavern and orders a double whiskey.... Downs it in one nasty gulp - drinking up some courage to face a nasty mean goblin ...
Stumbles out the tavern... where's that goblin....
Just started reading Outlander. I feel like I need to finish this, then go watch the TV Show then go write a whole ton of quests...

I have read all the books in the series, but haven't seen the TV show - I am a bit reluctant to watch it as I absolutely love the books and have my own vision of Jamie and Claire. But I have heard great things about the TV series. So I may watch it one day.
I hope you enjoy the book.

Ahh. I can give you good news then. Then you level up you get your +2 Max HP and you're healed fully :) So very good to be almost dead right before leveling up.
Really!? When you level up you get full health? Oh I wish I knew that. Oh well, in the next level up, this will come in handy.
Quoth the rules: "Leveling up heals your hero fully and increases the HP available by 2 per level.":)
I'll be introducing other ways to get healed fully soonish. Hopefully in March depending on how well I can think up quests :)
Kelly wrote: "Ahh. I can give you good news then. So resting up and reading healing books is what I will be doing for the next few days or weeks even!
Kelly wrote: "Aww. No delivering good news then."'Tis OK Kelly - the good news is that I finally defeated the Goblin!! He's been on my "monsters to attack" list for a while :)

I need to read the rules over and over and over... :P

Snicker. Little do you know, it was non alcoholic beer.

For the Rescue Kitty quest, would I be allowed to link "Ice" with "Ice" or does the title need to be longer?
Katie wrote: "For the Rescue Kitty quest, would I be allowed to link "Ice" with "Ice" or does the title need to be longer?"I'll allow it since the rules only state that 3 letters have to overlap.

Thanks Kelly. :)
Open buddy read is fine. Same type of rules as for Tower Teams where you should have someone you're talking with not just posting into the void :)
So.. I've come to the conclusion that if you're going to get sent back in time a doctor or nurse is the thing to be. Maybe a historian or botanist.I however would fail horribly since no one in the past needs Software engineers.....
Mine is in special education and hospice. I do know my fate, burned at the stake or die of the French disease. ;)
