Can you type elsewhere on the computer? If so maybe it's just a setting in your internet browser and if you go into settings you could reset them to default?

I think it's a keyboard issue. It happened two years ago but I forgot the solution.

I had some major bloodbath yesterday and I'd appreciate if someone could go over my numbers and check them - post - before I continue fighting and attacking eisdrake.

In case it's not clear (or so you don't have to search ☺) I started with earth and fire orbs, horse, puppy lvl1, rock lvl1 and bauble for staff

Thanks :)

Happy to help. Let me know if it's worth reading. It's usually a chore to do books with food on the cover. Cosy mysteries are ok but I prefer the grittier stuff.

Alyssa Lane I've been listening to a lot of memoirs of chefs on audio- those tend to have food in the covers and their interesting enough but still light to listen to while driving.

Tea, after quick read: Hydra Sloth - to count +3 for WEP you have to apply the potion to both weapons.

Kelly's post: 4076:
Zuzana wrote: "Kelly, can we use two enhance weapon potions in one battle, one for the staff and one for the sword? If not can we use 1 in 1 battle and second in another battle within the week (1 for sword, 1 for..."

I'm ok with using one on each weapon. That's not stacking them in my opinion since it's still just one on each weapon. (You can't use two on the same weapon to get a +6)

Yes, you can use it for the monsters.

Sloth - This one averages so if you have it on both then it'd add +3 to your averaged score.
Envy - I count this as potion based damage so it would count as an additive.
Pride - I think it's ok to treat this as an add-on when it's on the higher weapon since if your sword is normally 10 and you boost to 13, if you subtract your staff at 7 you end up with 6 whether you do it before or after.

Your Hydra battles look fine otherwise. Good job!

message 7467: by Zuzana (last edited Sep 14, 2016 10:34PM) (new)

Zuzana | 2570 comments Tea, did all your battles take place on 9/13? You fought Logoliphic lemur twice - I take you bribed it with a book?

And that's all. Hope it helped.

BTW I find my killing sprees oddly satisfying. :D Am I the only one?

message 7468: by ❀Tea❀ (new)

❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 9625 comments Thanks Zuzana :)
I was tired after it like I really did all those battles. :p But it was great and I kinda felt sorry I don't have much left to kill without getting other stuff first. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but my major problem was that I was healing too fast. I still need to get to my one-hit battles since it seemed shame to do them when I don't need hp.

After I don't know how many drafts, lemur just slipped in again. *sigh* I wasn't planning to use book, but if I can't take it out without some major changes, I'll give him his book.

For sloth - I still don't get it completly :( Do I need to drink another wep or just use one I have in calculating averige attack? So instead (13+6)/2 I'd have (16+9)/2? Or it would be 16+6?

Also could you add that part about hydras and wep to faq? I'm sure there are still some heros that need to get to hydra

message 7469: by Zuzana (new)

Zuzana | 2570 comments re wep: You should apply onother one to your second weapon (sword). If you do you don't have to change anything else.

I think that wep isn't drinked by the hero it is applied to the weapon (either staff or sword)

Zuzana | 2570 comments I'm on my phone till tomorrow night. hm, I don't want to use another potion for sword since I'm not using it at all. I'll just go back to drawing board and leave sloth for another round.

Thanks :)

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments I asked this 2 days ago. I would appreciate an answer please.

I have the SHARD now. Is the modified attack strength:

1. Earth Magik Strength 10 x 2 = 20 +1 Shard = 21 attack

OR

2. Earth Magik Strength (10 +1 Shard ) = 11 x 2 = 22. ?

It depends what cover did you read. It works only if you read cover with stairs.
Although, I'm not sure if Kelly would take palace as house. :) Don't know how strict she was when she wrote it

I find that's the best approach. Usually I find that I rarely need all the HP healing on Sundays with the sheets, bed and merekat blanket --let alone the two eggs generated by the PPP. The nook Squirrel and the Kindlecorn as well as the weekly others pretty much ensure that I'm up to full health by my next Eisdrake battle.

Congrats Tea on taking such a nice chunk out of Eisdrake.

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments I hope we get some more Zombie modifiers so I can attack #'s 3, 4, & 5 without hemorraging major heal potions.

Kelly will you need help with the next update? We can surely do the Classifieds and scrounger lists for you. We can make it spooktacular!

Did everyone catch the 2 - Hour return of Z - Nation on Friday night? Such a good show.

I also binge-watched the Ray Donovan series on HBO. Liev Schreiber and John Voight have such fantastic roles.

❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 9625 comments I also managed to level up with all those battles so my hp is full. I think my next eisdrake attack is going to be more of hit & run. :)
Need to finish kitchen upgrade so I can start collecting potions.

Also I got nice chunk of gold *looks around in case someone wants to rob her* so I'm thinking about getting a cat or maybe squirrel to trow those nuts at monsters. Good idea? Bad idea?

Currently I'm nowhere near magic spells, but that's all mostly because I'm still not planning my reads, but try to fit books after thing is done. And mostly they still end up in tote *shakes head*

Also, Kelly, we really really have too many tasks asking for food on cover or trees. Especially if you are working on those tasks at the same time *grins* We definitely need picnic task :P

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments It might be good to start the discussion about upcoming quests and what kinds of challenges we'd like to see.

Last year I set myself the challenge of reading at least 4 books of a series from authors of different countries (either English or translations into English.). I failed miserably. I was too caught up in reading for this challenge.

So something along the above: say 5 foreign authors originally writing in languages not your mother tongue.

****************

I like to travel. So authors from 5 or 6 continents.

Or traveling from east to west in one direction only --a minimum of 5 books-- To a mamimum of 20. Books set in different cities of the world.

Or

The wonders of the ancient or modern world. Books mentioning things like the hanging Gardens of Babylon or the Pyramids of Giza or Collossus of Rhodes, Victoria Falls, CN Tower, Aurora borealis, Taj Mahal ...

message 7487: by Morgan (new)

Morgan (faeriesfolly) | 522 comments It's been forever since we had a spell-it-out, so I would like something like that to add more flexibility than all the cover tasks.
Maybe in conjunction with Reva's wonders of the ancient world, since I have a feeling finding mentions of those in things everyone would like to read would be harder than fruit on a cover. lol.

Maybe spell out a wonder? This would also be a good way to gain XP for newer players similar to the berry tasks or the shape one -- your points would depend on your choice from what can be a set list.

Maybe also 5 or 6 authors not from your continent instead of being from each from a different. But a BONUS if they are each from a different continent.

I like the travel idea and using the books to move in a single direction -- sort of like the relay race which was great for points.

I had some other ideas knocking around like last week -- hopefully I will be able to think of them tonight at work since it's bedtime. XD

Look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!

One point:

You increased the hits for all the turns thereafter. I think it's only meant for one hit only. :-(

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments My apologies Morgan, I should have read your attack more carefully.

Incidentally, I ran my attack #11 through the scenario of using more fire attacks and the results came back exactly the same.

I guess it depends on the attack strength of your weapon and the number of rounds fought as to whether there would be an advantage to using more fire attacks.

And whether you had stockpiled enough casting materials.
