1. I moved these books to a unique author profile.

2. You have a user profile. You can claim this author profile by going to the author profile page here: Jonathan Gunson

scroll down and click on the link that says is this you?

3. There are already authors with the same name.

4. Goodreads disambiguates between authors of the same name by using spaces before the author's last name.

5. This author profile has 2 spaces: Jonathan^^Gunson, where the ^ equals a space.

6. When publications are automatically imported from Amazon or other sources, the "handshake' between Goodreads and the other source do not recognize multiple spaces, so the work goes to the default 1 space profile. Often when users add works, they may not be familiar with the number of spaces that this profile uses, so may only use the default spacing.

7. You can post in this forum to have it moved as you have done, or you can add the book with the 2 spaces between your first and last name before publication.

8. When you ask for assistance, it is helpful to include that your author profile has 2 spaces.

Since it has ISBNs you will have to contact support and explain.

Hi, I hope this is the right place for this, sorry if it isn't. I'm trying to make my Goodreads profile correctly list anthologies I have been published in, i.e. excluding other Sophie Sparrows and including everything I've published so far.

My Amazon page lists things correctly (apart from 1 anthology I'm in that isn't available there).

requesting removal is the correct procedure. Changing valid book records is not. It is not spam, it is simply another author with the same name.

It's quite common to have authors of more than one name. In future instances, please post in this forum and someone will take care of it, as I did. I have reverted the changes you made and moved this book by the other author Sophia Powell to a unique profile for her.

Many thanks for unlinking the book from my profile. Although I don't appreciate the tone that you used in replying, as I'm still learning to use this site and I think people should remember that. So when I first saw the book listed I assumed as I could delete the record of it, and that the content was also posted whereby I could remove it, that it was spam and I had had my account hacked. I didn't realise until searching else where that this was a geninue author, and a geninue piece of fiction. For that I apologise, but do please remember not everyone is completely to grips with the in's and out's of this site.
