hello, ive just made a little mistake. My book 1 was originally attacghed to this profile, but I edited the author name, thinking to remove a space and it then removed the book from my account to the a similar authors. who has the same name as mine. I didn't realise this when I created my account can this book be changed back to me please.

Goodreads differentiates between authors of the same name with spaces before the last name. But you may have just figure it out.

Hello, thank you for your help in advance. My name on goodreads is Savannah Thomas (two spaces in middle). I wrote the book #Blocked: A Social Media Love Story.
My profile has taken over the original Savannah Thomas that was on goodreads before me. Days ago I did click on my book and applied to be the author.
Please move my profile to be the author of #Blocked: A Social Media Love Story.
The title that I, Savannah Thomas, DID NOT write (or have any other affiliation with):

1. Goodreads disambiguates between authors of the same name by using spaces before the author's last name.
2. As you indicated, your author profile has 2 spaces: Savannah^^Thomas, where the ^ equals a space.
3. When publications are automatically imported from Amazon or other sources, the "handshake' between Goodreads and the other source do not recognize multiple spaces, so the work goes to the default 1 space profile. It is systemic and in no way implies that another author is claiming your work. Often when users add works, they may not be familiar with the number of spaces that this profile uses, so may only use the default spacing, as you did and this also in no way implies that the other author has claimed your work.
I will refer this to Goodreads support as they set up your profile.

There are 2 books attributed to me that aren't mine. Can you please remove them? They are the "Crappy to Happy" books, by another author also named Cassandra Dunn. Thanks.

Barbara, I separated these books into the appropriate unique profiles, so your book should be the only one showing on your own profile.

But one isn't available any longer. The whole series was changed. There is also the same book in 4 ex, the one that doesn't exist

There are thousands and thousands of out of print books on Goodreads. This site catalogs and maintains book records. Out of Print editions are a feature for readers who want to maintain records of books they own and/or have read.

Yes, I added The Cubic Pea and thought I had indicated not applicable to the books that came up by different authors of the same name as me. Apologies for causing an issue.

This is corrected.
Just for future reference:
1. Goodreads differentiates between authors of the same name with spaces before the last name.
2. As there are other authors with your name, your profile has been established as: Tim^^Morris where the ^ equals a space.
3. It will be helpful if you need assistance in the future to mention that your profile has 2 spaces.
4. Your book had a duplicate with an incomplete ISBN, so I removed it.

3. When publications are automatically imported from Amazon or other sources, the "handshake" between Goodreads and the other source do not recognize multiple spaces, so the work goes to the default 1 space profile.
4. You can post in this forum to have it moved, or you can add the book with the 3 spaces before your last name before publication.
5. When you ask for assistance, it is helpful to include that your author profile has 3 spaces.
6. When you add a book, it will go directly to your profile if you go to this page:
Books by Christina Stein
and scroll down to where it says: * Note: these are all the books on Goodreads for this author. To add more books, click here. [there is a hyperlink for adding your books on the "Click Here " that will ensure your author name is correctly formatted.
