If that is his only book, then there are 149 others that need to be moved. Please contact support about this.

His book is not even published under the name Richard Lewis, but under Richard D. Lewis. I have contacted support myself.

the statistics are among the last things to update. Goodreads is heavily cached, and it takes awhile for all edits to synchronize.

I have gone through the list you provided and removed those works to unique profiles.

However, will you look at the remaining list of your books and let me know if any of these should also be moved?

That is not your profile. If some of your books are on it, then you can ask for them to be moved to yours if you'll list them here.

2. Your author profile has 8 spaces: Stephen^^^^^^^^Taylor where the ^ equals a space.

3. Because there are so many authors with this name it is important to mention that your profile has 8 spaces when asking for assistance.

4. I moved the books to your profile, and combined them appropriately.

5. I standardized your titles to conform to Goodreads title/series naming conventions.

6. When you add an Amazon "ebook" it must be identified as Kindle format, as well as using the ASIN. Among the reasons for this, it allows the edition to connect to the Kindle page on Amazon if a reader needs more information or wants to purchase your book.

2. You have a user profile. You can claim this by going to the author profile page here: Susan George

scroll down and click on the link that says is this you?

3. There are already authors with the same name.

4. Goodreads disambiguates between authors of the same name by using spaces before the author's last name.

5. This author profile has 2 spaces: Susan^^George, where the ^ equals a space.

6. When publications are automatically imported from Amazon or other sources, the "handshake' between Goodreads and the other source do not recognize multiple spaces, so the work goes to the default 1 space profile. It is systemic and in no way implies that another author is claiming your work. Often when users add works, they may not be familiar with the number of spaces that this profile uses, so may only use the default spacing, and this also in no way implies that the other author has claimed your work.

7. You can post in this forum to have it moved as you have done, or you can add the book with the 2 spaces between your first and last name before publication.

8. When you ask for assistance, it is helpful to include that your author profile has 2 spaces.

Did you let them know which book was yours when you claimed the profile? If not it is ok, I'm just figuring out the best way to move the books. Looks like someone has moved them for you.

Do you have any publication information for the book you are writing?

Diane, Goodreads does not use titles or degrees in author profile names. Changing your author profile name has multiple ramifications and creates cascading issues.

Please do not change it again, even to change it back. I will get this corrected, as well as move the book.

I moved that book to a unique profile.

I have combined some appropriate titles on your profile, and edited publication information.

You put a partial ISBN13 in the ISBN field for The Fall. If you will provide the complete ISBN, I will correct it. I added the Kindle edition as well.

I corrected the ISBN field on your other titles, and removed a couple of incorrect duplicates.


Also, you can remove the librarian note. The only time anyone will see that note is if they are editing something that is on your profile. It does not trigger any message to any entity. Messaging to this forum will get assistance pretty quickly.
