1. I moved these books to a unique author profile with your biographical information from Amazon.

2. You have a user profile. You can claim this author profile by going to the author profile page here: Greg Morgan

scroll down and click on the link that says is this you?

3. There are already authors with the same name.

4. Goodreads disambiguates between authors of the same name by using spaces before the author's last name.

5. This author profile has 2 spaces: Greg^^Morgan, where the ^ equals a space.

6. When publications are automatically imported from Amazon or other sources, the "handshake' between Goodreads and the other source do not recognize multiple spaces, so the work goes to the default 1 space profile. Often when users add works, they may not be familiar with the number of spaces that this profile uses, so may only use the default spacing.

7. You can post in this forum to have it moved as you have done, or you can add the book with the 2 spaces between your first and last name before publication.

8. When you ask for assistance, it is helpful to include that your author profile has 2 spaces.

9. Thank you for providing the links to the issues in question, it is quite helpful.

10. I noticed that you are following the "default profile" Greg Morgan. By maintaining that, you will know if any editions of your work inadvertently get added to the incorrect profile.

The book has been there since 2015. Likely moving the other books off your profile caused this one to move up to show on your main page.

I have just joined and added my first book (Doris, The Fastest Chicken in the West) and attributed it to me as the author, but the system has added another title to my list - which is for another Dave Thorne (The "Oh Shit" Factor) rather than myself. I have moved these books to appropriate profiles. Since you have the default profile, you may get other author's works show up from time to time. Just ask in this group, as you did here, to have them moved.

I added the other editions of your book, and added the cover to the existing edition.

1. Goodreads disambiguates between authors of the same name with spaces before the last name.

2. Your profile is the '3-space" profile: Nancy^^^Campbell where the ^ equals a space.

3. It is very helpful to mention that your profile has 3 spaces when asking for assistance.

1. I removed those books.

2. You have 2 author profiles. If you would like to have all of your books under your Goodreads author profile, you can ask Goodreads support to change your profile name to Tina Peterson Scott.

3. Several of your books were on both profiles. In order to combine the appropriate titles, I put each title under the profile that matches the author name on the cover of each book. If you want to have them under different profiles, it's certainly fine, just advise how you want them listed.

4. You had numerous blank, and incorrectly formatted editions on both profiles. I added covers, merged/removed duplicates, and combined all appropriate titles so you now have fewer editions, but they are all correct, and the reviews and shelved books are maintained.

If you have any questions or need more help, please advise. If you cannot add a book without errors occurring, please ask in this forum for assistance, as the librarian's group is a resource for you.

edited to add: also, please don't make multiple requests on multiple threads. It causes librarians to be working possibly at cross purposes

This is an easy fix for Goodreads support. If you will contact them and ask them to change your profile to include the Tina Peterson profile, all your books will show up under your name.
