I'm switching some things around to maximize books. I'm going to go with Ugly Love because I can make that work in PTP. I just have to update that selection post later today.

I think I need to re-read that one. I read it chapter by chapter as she released them on Wattpad so sometimes there were 3 chapters in a day, then it could go weeks without one. I think I'd enjoy it more if I could just start at the beginning and work straight through.

Miles and Tate. *sigh* :)
Miles and Tate. *sigh* :)
So listening to a Hoover book on audio while charting is not recommended. I’m gonna have to get the ebook tonight and devour that book. I’m only a little bit in but kept getting distracted so I gotta put that on hold. That other one is on my list also. I can see that I’m gonna be need Hoover in my life each week until I’m caught up.
Miles and Tate had me coming home, sitting on my couch, with a glass of wine, and finishing this book off. Does Ian and Corbin have stories also?

Cyndee what were the ones you recommended most for me? I can’t find that post while quickly looking. I can do a deep dive and hunt it down but thought I’d ask in case you remember...

Original rating (July 2017): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Re-read rating (October 2020): ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I don't change my original star ratings on a re-read so my rating will remain showing 5 stars. I originally read this in 2017 and so much of it has stuck with me, but I was also surprised at how much I’d forgotten. I think I wanted to block out all the feels it rips from your chest. It sure seems as if the whole world is against Owen and Auburn, not just in their romantic relationship with each other, but in almost every other part of their young lives. It leaves you covered in a huge shadow of emotional heaviness throughout the whole story. If you don’t like angst, this is not the book for you. These two don’t always make the best decisions and Auburn is a bit of a doormat, but I just can’t help but forgive them and want them to have their happily ever after.

I’m also reading Confess, it was the first one available on audio at my library so I could complete it faster, since all my working isn’t giving me much time for physical reading right now. Now the weekend is here so I’ll have some time. :-)Anyway, I’m 28% and completely sucked in and feel I MUST know the mystery of what we don’t know about these characters.
bamaace83 wrote: "Verity was really good and Too Late is on my TBR."I still got on the list for both of these at the library because I do think they both sound good.
I may be reading another Hoover book this week. I'm working these puzzle pieces but without notifications I'm having a hard time remembering what all I'm in.
I'm reading another one of hers this week too. :)

Yay, time for a new task. Hopefully Cyndee sees this because of all this no notification mess...it's causing me headaches this afternoon. I know I'm missing some things as I'm working on figuring out books.

I haven't seen anything on when they are coming back. I saw something where they were working on it but nothing on eta of coming back. I needs them to come back.
bamaace83 wrote: "I haven't seen anything on when they are coming back. I saw something where they were working on it but nothing on eta of coming back. I really miss them too :/ I hope they can fix it soon! I also feel like I’m missing some challenges without them. I keep searching through my old notifications hoping I’m catching everything as I plan this week’s books.
I’m trying to wait since I know this one has to be started after we get a task.
Sure go ahead and check us in. She won't mind at all and knowing the task will definitely help me with planning tonight. I finally got my video game challenges updated. I was writing them down on paper because I just never got around to updating the thread so I'm happy to have that caught up. Now, to go see what I got myself in for October. Yep, I'm sitting over here going through old notifications also.

Uh oh I think copy and paste broke. Some of those are last time's books instead of this time.Never mind, I refreshed it while you were still working on it. I just hit it just at the right moment. I have all these tabs open and just keep refreshing. My poor computer has no idea what is going on.

LOL I have a ton of tabs open too tracking everything 🤣
Thanks for checking us in, Leslie!!
Here is Task 4:4. Read 4 books tagged/shelved as PNR or fantasy.
These tags to not need to be MPG, but the books you select need to be tagged PNR, paranormal or fantasy. Please include a link to the top shelves page of your qualifying tag along with the page number and number of tags. This is most helpful as tags move and sometimes links break. 😊
Seriously, the randomizer loves the low numbers for this team!!
Yes, this one totally works for me too!!! Next book up is Fantasy > Paranormal. Love when this works :)
Lol! Maybe this will be the only time we get paranormal/fantasy and then you can go back to all the fun books. I’m about to start a short one that will work for this. Hopefully I can knock it out fast.
Well, I found the one I want to read. Now I just need to squeeze it in somewhere.
I didn't get the one I was reading finished like I wanted to so now I haven't started this one but I'll start it no later than tomorrow.
Completion Post ~ 4. Read 4 books tagged/shelved as PNR or fantasy.Book: Obsidian
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout

Rating: 5 Stars
How it fits: MPG Fantasy > Paranormal
Starting this one in the morning. It's the same I'm doing for Going to the Fair and it's a short one so I should be done with it tomorrow night or Thurs morning!
I unfortunately picked one I’m not loving, but I’ll finish it today. Of course one of my favorite genres is fantasy and I pick a dull one lol.On the plus side it fit 3 challenges. :-)
I didn't like the one I was going to read either but I'm listening to Queen of Air and Darkness and I started it after this was announced so that would count but I'm also planning on reading Onyx and I'm going to start that this afternoon so crossing my fingers that I'll be done with one of those late tonight or early Thursday morning.

4. Read 4 books tagged/shelved as PNR or fantasy.
Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson
Read: 10/8/20
Pages: GR Kindle ~ 309
How if fits: MPG Fantasy
Rating: 4 stars (pushing 5, honestly. I debated it for far too long)
I’m coming to realize, despite my continued resistance to the fantasy genre, that I really love some of these retellings of old fairy tales. I went into this one a little hesitant though, because Peter Pan just isn’t a favorite of mine, but wow, was it delightful! Told from Tinkerbell’s POV about Peter Pan’s first love, Tiger Lily, and filled with fascinating characters from a serial killing Smee to gender fluid Tik Tok to social outcast Pine Sap, I was swept up through the whole story. It addresses some hard hitting issues like equality, acceptance, and religion, and the possibility that the love we thought we wanted may not be the best love for us, all while paying homage to the original Peter Pan story. It is heartbreaking and magical and I loved every fantasy-filled minute of it.

Lord of Shadows gutted me at the end so I had to recover first.

Queen of Air and Darkness is soooooo good. I'm like 3/4 of the way through it. I've actually been doing audio so I listen to some and then I stop and listen and then I do something else. I hope to finish it Saturday morning. I've also been reading books here and there. Let's move this one on though!
