This spoiler is for Anna because we've been talking a certain Colleen Hoover series...
DON'T GIVE INTO THE TEMPTATION UNLESS YOU'VE READ Hopeless, Finding Cinderella, and All Your Perfects!! Hahahahaha

77. Each teammate reads a book that the teammate after them alphabetically has rated 5 stars. No pass for this task.

There is no date requirement for this task, it only has to be marked read and rated 5 stars by the teammate after you alphabetically. Please include a link to the teammate's review or read shelf in your completion post. So bamaace83 reads from Cyndee's shelf, Cyndee reads from Keri's shelf, Keri reads from Leslie's shelf and Leslie reads from bamaace83's shelf. 😊

Leslie I have Anna! There are a few you rated 5 stars that I want to read :)

bamaace83 | 1259 comments It's been so long since I've read All Your Perfects and for some reason I can't remember it very well. I did not click that spoiler but I think it's the book I'm going to read this week. One because I want to know what's under that spoiler and two because if it connects to the ones I just read then I need to remember it. I may choose a Zapata book also because I've been on a roll with those.

Actually, I'd say The Best Thing, but that one isn't available on Escape, so...

Yeah, can't use it if you already started it. :(

Lingus is on Escape though. It's probably her least popular one, but I really loved it. It's also her shortest so you could get through it quickly. :D

bamaace83 | 1259 comments Lol, I made the ultimate decision to read The Best Thing. One day, when I can get it on audio, I'll just go back and read it. I'm finishing Kulti on the way to work tomorrow. I have a feeling it's going to be a long night once I start this book....

bamaace83 | 1259 comments I finished Kulti this morning on the way to work/gym. It was really good. I liked how it connected with Under Locke at one point. I'm halfway through The Best Thing. I may have literally had to put my kindle far away last night to make my normal get up time. I really liked If I Stay. I'm going to attempt to get to the second one this week. Maybe!?!

message 317: by [deleted user] (new)

Most of her books tie together somehow. Sal from Kulti is the cousin of Vanessa's best friend Diana from Wall of Winnipeg. As you read the rest of hers (especially Dear Aaron) you may catch other connections as well. :)

message 318: by bamaace83 (new)

bamaace83 | 1259 comments Cool. I like the connections. I like how Hoover does that sometimes too. I'm reading some of these short music books for turf wars and I'm glad that I can alternate between a book that is really good and one that is just okay. Boy Band was rough. It had good page numbers but whew....

The Cheerleaders by Kara Thomas
The Cheerleaders by Kara Thomas
Read: 10/28/20

How it Fits: Read by Keri on 10/23/18 and rated 5 stars
Rating:
A solid 4.5 stars. This YA mystery is SO WELL DONE! The character development and how the relationships all flowed together was really well thought out. I was impressed with all of the twists, turns, and connections right up to the very last page. I'm not a huge fan of stories where the kids get involved in trying to solve the mystery, but as those go, this one was top notch. I feel like fans of Karen McManus' One of Us series would find this one worth the read.

message 320: by bamaace83 (new)

bamaace83 | 1259 comments I had to finish another book for another challenge first. Now, I'm about to go back to The Best Thing. I was sidelined from the gym tonight until Monday by the physical therapist because I may have been over working my foot. That means I don't have to get up until 6 instead of 4:30 so that means I can finish this book tonight! It also means I can binge read a couple more books this week. That book looks good.

Keri | 212 comments I’m reading Nine Women, One Dress and am 78% done. I hope to finish tomorrow. I’m enjoying it so far. There’s a lot of characters to keep up with but I like how some are tying in and how the dress ties in.

Leslie bamaace83 wrote: "You hit that music list up hard! Good job. I wasn't as successful at making all my books piece together so I didn't get as many off that list."

I really liked this list. I'm a sucker for YA ... I think I'm reliving my teen years. Also, with some of these I would look up the piano or violin songs they were referencing and had them playing while I read. It was such a good week :) I was lucky I was able to fit them into some of the other challenges.

message 337: by bamaace83 (new)

bamaace83 | 1259 comments That's really cool. I didn't even think to do that. I have to read a music book today because of another challenge that started today so I'm going back to that list to find one. I also still need a book with the teens getting in trouble because the YA I did read, the characters were not teenagers. Oops! Hopefully, I can find one that fits both of those and knock it out.

I think they'd like it too. I thought it was heartbreaking at the end.

message 342: by bamaace83 (new)

bamaace83 | 1259 comments It really was. I was looking to see if there is going to be a sequel. I want to know more. Sighs I’ve gone back to click list pickup at Kroger due to all the crazy covid spikes. Last week I picked up at this time and had no issues. This week I’m 12th in line. The governor stated to minimize outings and all the things and I guess people are listening to him. Thank goodness for audiobooks. I’m gonna be here awhile. I should’ve planned better and got a milkshake though.

message 343: by Keri (new)

Keri | 212 comments I’m adding it to my TBR now!!

I’m so over all the COVID stuff, I wish we could figure out how to make it go away!! It does suck when you get the long wait time for click list too. I haven’t done it much but have heard others talking about it. I have been choosing odd unpopular times to grocery shop so it’s pretty empty lol.

message 344: by Keri (new)

Keri | 212 comments I’ll have my book finished today. I was going to have two but forgot that this was the one where books had to be started after the task is given. The one I finished yday was started too early, but my other book will work and be done today.

message 345: by Leslie (new)

Leslie What is click list? I haven't heard that term before.

message 346: by bamaace83 (new)

bamaace83 | 1259 comments You may call it something different there. It's where you order your groceries online and then you go wait in an assigned parking spot and call a number. Then they come put your groceries in the trunk for you. We did it a lot during the quarantine but we also do what Keri does and go random times when we know it is empty. I just didn't want to get up and be the first there Sunday so I did click list this time.
