**For this challenge, use the GR Kindle first edition page count if available. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis**

Please note that a rating is now required in your completion posts! A small review is also welcome. 😊

MountainKat | 31597 comments I think most of you know each other, at least a little, but feel free to introduce yourself again. Please give any relevant information, especially time zone as that helps know when it is best to communicate. 😊

Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.

Remember, it is the team's responsibility to notify the host (me) if a teammate fails to complete the task in a timely manner or otherwise goes missing! I am not checking all the team threads regularly to notice and may only check when notified a task is complete.

PS - If you want to be known as anything other than Team 15, you are free to come up with a team name. 😉

I'm 100% on board with the list Leslie posted. I've read A LOT of them and there are some fantastic books on that list

58. Read 6 books published in the year one of the teammates joined RRRC, teams decide which teammate.
Here are our dates:
Leslie - 2019 - my vote!
Anna - 2013
Keri - 2020
Cyndee - 2017

70. Read a minimum of 1200 pages in books of the same sub-genre, but by different authors.
same as #33

71. Pick another team and each member reads one book that was read by a member for this challenge. No pass for this task.
let's see what the other teams are reading before we pick this one

72. Read 4 books published in the decade of a teammate's birth, team decides which teammate.
not mine (1970s). Is Anna our baby this round? 👶

73. Read a minimum of 1500 pages in books by the same author, teams decide author.
same as #1

75. Read over 1000 pages in books that start with the same letter (no articles), teams decide letter.
T? W?

76. Read 6 books with a specific item on the cover, team selects item.
Do we want to go general again like we did with SHIRT last time?

79. Read 6 books that have the same romance trope, teams decide which trope.
Ok, so my fav is teacher/student so that'll get my top vote, but it's not for everyone, so I'm thinking something more general like enemies-to-lovers

82. Each teammate reads a different book from the same series.
We could use the Lux series for this one too

84. Pick a category from the current RRRC Monthly Challenge and read 6 books for that category. Reader's Choice is exempt from this task.
This will depend on the month it's assigned in so I guess we can't pick this one yet.

90. Each member reads a book published in sequential months, i.e. June, July, August and September 2019. Teams decide which months. No pass for this task.
no preference except for some reason April is a sucky month to hunt down, so maybe a sequence that doesn't include April?😁

92. Read over 1500 pages in books set in the future or the past - teams decide.
Past

93. As a team, pick a Romance List from GR Listopia with less than 100 books on it, each teammate reads a book from that list. No pass for this task.
The title of this list intrigued me but I haven't looked much into the books on it...
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/9...

94. Read 6 books published in sequential years, teams decide years.
I think I need to figure out more what this means...does one of us start with a year and the rest follow sequentially after? So like 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018? If so, any interest in going back further and doing something like 2000-2003??

95. As a team, select an animal. Read 8 books tagged with that animal.
Please not a cat...like a house cat. I can go with tiger though.
My mind went straight for wolf.

96. Read a minimum of 1200 pages with the sun or the moon on the cover, teams decide which.
Moon

I think this depends on the person. I'll have to think on this one.

19. Each teammate reads a book another teammate read and rated 4 Stars or higher in the last 3 months. No pass for this task.
I have more of these but here are some that I liked a little over others. It seems like I read a lot of fast, quick sports romance books this summer due to the Olympics so if y'all are in the mood for those then I have a couple series that I worked on knocking out. The list below is kind of all over of the place.

Shoot the Moon
Verity
The Girl in the Steel Corset
Chain of Gold
The Inheritance Games
Wicked and the Wallflower

64. Read 6 books not set on a continent of a teammate. Space does not count - must be a real continent.

I think I would pick Europe first but am open to anywhere. :)

74. Read 6 books published in a teammates' birth month, you may not use your own month.

I'm March.

91. Add up the years of the teammates' births and each teammate reads a book with that minimum number of pages. For example, teammates were born in 75, 83, 87 and 94 - each teammate reads a book at least 339 pages long. No pass for this task.

I'm 83 over here.

99. Each teammate lists 5 favorite books.
Select books from 2 different teammates and read them.

Oh man! Pick 5 favorites?!? I'll list a couple of the first books in series that I really really like. I'll give a couple other books also.

Animal Magnetism
The Duke and I
Beartown
Clockwork Angel
Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption

No preference to this one.

29. Read over 750 pages in books about the same profession, teams decide which profession.

I'm good with any colors.

Leslie's sounds good! So I was born in a small town in Alabama but I live in Louisville. I'm not sure what would be a good series set in Louisville though.

54. Read 6 books set on a beach or in the mountains, teams decide which.

I'm good with either.

55. Read 6 books set in the same country outside the US, teams decide country.

I'm good with anything.

Yeah, I think we have to wait on this one.

90. Each member reads a book published in sequential months, i.e. June, July, August and September 2019. Teams decide which months. No pass for this task.

I think my first preference for this would be 9 - 12 but I'm good with anything.

92. Read over 1500 pages in books set in the future or the past - teams decide.

Past

93. As a team, pick a Romance List from GR Listopia with less than 100 books on it, each teammate reads a book from that list. No pass for this task.

I'll let y'all pick this one. Just send me in the right direction.

94. Read 6 books published in sequential years, teams decide years.
I think I need to figure out more what this means...does one of us start with a year and the rest follow sequentially after?
I'm good with maybe going back a little farther and finding a book that's out of my comfort zone.

95. As a team, select an animal. Read 8 books tagged with that animal.

Wolf is good. I would say dog also because that's easy to find sometimes.

96. Read a minimum of 1200 pages with the sun or the moon on the cover, teams decide which.

Moon

HERE WE GO!

Task 1 for all teams!

0. As a team select your favorite month of 2019 (because 2020 basically SUCKS!) and each player reads a book initially published in that month. No pass for this task.

For this task we are using the initial publication date. If one is listed at the top of the editions page, use that. Otherwise I will be looking for the first published date of an English language edition. Remember to use the first English language Kindle edition for your page count and ensure that your completion posts contain all the required information listed in message #3 of your team thread.

Also, just a reminder that challenges in RRRC require that books be started after the task has been called.

Leslie I want to make sure I'm understanding the rules right on this one. Would the publication month on this be July? It was originally published in 1927, but I can't find the month. July is the first listed on the editions page. Then the page count would be 258, which is the first kindle edition listed. Is this right?

I support this recommendation 100%! I can't wait to read Anxious People.

*record scratch!*

So I just learned that it has to be published IN 2019 for this week's task (I thought the month was the only important part). When she said each player reads a book initially published in that month, she means that month in that year.

Since those of us playing Pass the Parcel already have to read something published in November 2019, would that work for the others??

I will find something that works for November 2019

If you don't find something you like Leslie, just shout out and I'm sure we can switch it up.

I'm going to tell Kat we wanna be The Need to Read.

bamaace83 | 1259 comments I'm planning on starting my Nov. 19 book tonight and finishing tomorrow but I can also do a different month if needed. I just want to get that one out of the way.

I will take recommendations too Cyndee...I love the other books you've sent my way.

Yay...I like that one. I'm somewhat (well not really) waiting to see the Top Gun Sequel :)

bamaace83 | 1259 comments I agree, Cyndee has sent some great books our way. I know what book she's reading for PTP and it's on my TBR and I'm almost went to it but then I was like I have a couple fast, totally 100 percent trashy, romance sports series that I started that I need to finish and I had a book there that fit. I'm sitting here patiently though for the next recommendation so I can make it happen. :)

Oh, my, I LOOOOOVED Someday, Someday and it's a Nov 2019 publication. Also, Get a Life, Chloe Brown...it starts a little slow but it is SOOO good. And Dirty Letters was pretty good.

I'm going to read The Bromance Book Club. I've heard good things about it so I'm hopeful.

I love that we all like the same books! It makes my TBR never-ending though. :)

Thanks Cyndee, I found one that will be a bit shorter read as I need to try to sneak it in. None of these worked for my other challenges. I should get it read by tomorrow (later likely)
