Anja (thesofa) | 86 comments I read Utrensning about a year ago for a Swedish course I was attending. Parts of it were really interesting, I did learn quite a bit about Estonia's history since WWII - it's not really the type of book I prefer to read but it was okay (even if some parts are quite brutal)

Sigrun Olafsdottir Anja, I picked Utrensning because Sofi Oksanen was the only author in my library with the same initials as me. Not a book I think I'd read if it wasn't for this challenge, but I must say I find the Estonian history very interesting, just as you do :) Estonia is so close to Sweden, it's a shame not to know anything about it!

Cait (clickcait) | 480 comments Welcome to the group and good luck with the challenge. :-)

I love that you picked the Moomin book for your book from your childhood. I used to love watching the cartoons and was thrilled to see all the Moomin stuff when I visited Finland.

Sigrun Olafsdottir Thanks! Yes, the Moomins have come up in discussions a lot lately, so I've decided I need to revisit them and see what I feel about them as an adult :)
