and I started reading the second book in the Cartel series - I gave the first one (The Power of the Dog) five stars so hopefully this one is just as good:

The Cartel by Don Winslow

I think he was more consistently funny when he was married to his first wife.

I liked his older stuff too, especially the collections of his columns from the 1980s and 1990s.

Yes, and that's what this book is :) He even includes the essay that got the attention of the Miami Herald which is where he started as a regular columnist, got syndecated, etc.

So under the pseudonym Mary Westmacott, Christie published 6 novels. I've finished my second Westmacott novel --

Christie had been very pleased with it. And I liked it as well, rating it a 4 ☆ novel.

I wasn't sure about this book at the beginning as it was a very slow start but it is starting to pick up!! I am now very much enjoying this read!!
Here I Go Again by Jen Lancaster
So, far I'm really enjoying reading this book....has me laughing!!

I am almost done with this book. I am really enjoying the style of Ashley Audrain's writing. Thought-provoking read. I'll need a night to process before starting a new book, I believe.
