Reading Twins Summer Challenge
My favorite genre is YA fantasy. I don’t want books with anything explicit. Not to much romance in the plot. That’s it I think :)
my favorite genre is fantasy (any kind of fantasy, but mostly ya). i don't really like romance books, i am okay with romance in fantasy books, but i don't like books which are romance centered
I really want to do this reading twin thing maybe historical fiction around world war two or fantasy
Any genre of YA, or adult fantasy, sci fi, romance
Any genre really of YA am fine with anything as long as its not too explicit.
Any YA books, I'm not picky. I'd also like it if there was some thriller, or a little bit of romance!
My top pick would be fantasy YA or middle grade I don't really care about
My favourite genre would be Ya fantasy, sci fi & contemporary my all time favourite series is the lunar chronicles I'm a sucker for fairytale retellings.
Anything Ya, and love stories are my downfall. As long as they aren't creepy. Fantasy is probably my favourite genre right now.

Young adult Dystopian, Sci-fi, and adult Fantasy (no sex scense, and preferably no making out or cussing), I also don't like to read LGBTQ+.

Aaahh this is so fun and exciting!! My favorite genre is YA fantasy, but I'll read pretty much anything that's YA! I'd rather not read anything super explicit, let's leave room for Jesus ;))

These are your partners until the challenge ends, which will be on Friday, August 7. The challenge officially starts today, July 6, but for those in differing time zones, the challenge will end exactly one month after tomorrow. Here are your rules:
-you cannot use the same book for multiple prompts (for example, if a certain book covers more than one prompt, it can only be used to complete one)
-update your progress under this discussion **(NOTE: PLEASE ONLY UPDATE IN THE SAME BOX!!! For example, you can go back to your post and in the bottom right corner you can click edit and add the next book you've read).** You and your partner only need one box, so only one of you will update your progress. Make sure to talk over who will be the one updating here!
-give an explanation as to how the book completed the prompt (i.e, reading The Lightning Thief for a book with green on the cover)
-both of you need to have read the book together. When you update your progress, add in that you are participating in the Reading Twins Summer Challenge and that you are buddy reading with your partner! Try to read at the same pace, and if your partner is slower than you, you must wait to start the next prompt. This is a partner competition, after all! :D
-for now there is only 15 prompts, but we will post more once a team has surpassed reading that many books. **You do not have to complete the prompts in order!**
-The team who has completed the most prompts together by the time the challenge is over will be declared the WINNER!!! The prize will be a shoutout from all of the mods in this group to the both of you, and if you want your Instagram and/or other social media platforms to be followed, we'll shout out that for you too. :)
-if you are having any problems with your partner (i.e, they're not active online) just ask either me, Natalie, or Shayna about it. Be nice to each other, considering you're reading buddies!!

what would be considered as an unpopular/undesirable cover?
does the blue font thing count for the authors name?
@Lucy yup- an undesirable cover can be one that's just plain cringey, like Adela said. And yes, blue font can mean the author's name is written in blue :)
