There are even stripes within stripes, so I say YES. :)

How is everyone enjoying the challenge so far?I'm hoping to read a couple more for this round :)
Any good books you've read this round so far?
Hi Gemma,I just finished A Wicked Kind of Husband, which is a regency romance and while it was far from perfect, I found it still way better than what this genre usually has on offer. The story was well written and the better part of it was really hilarious so it made up for its faults.
I really wish GR introduced half-stars. This was definitely not a 4star read, but better than a clean 3 stars.
Heya Gemma :) I've read a couple pretty good books (The Bromance Book Club & Murder on the Orient Express) and one terrible (The Jetsetters) one - it's been a mixed bag. So as much as I want to encourage you all to read the BOM for the extra points, I really can't recommend it...
I have been lucky with books so far :)No terrible reads or books I want to DNF,so fingers crossed my luck continues on!
I think it is the liberty of reading what I want and then just fitting it to tasks that makes it more enjoyable :)
I agree about half stars. So often I need to add a half star to give it true rating!
Dear Team, just a shout-out from Judy and me to you all!
We are doing great! :)
We spelled out "Sandcastle" 3 times already.

Keep up the good work and enjoy your books. 😉

Annalisa,
I think there is a GR mess-up here.
On your Wheelaton shelf you have this edition, but no read-date
On your read-shelf you have this edition with read-date
.Could you please fix this?

I noticed that as soon as I posted and it’s not letting me change from my phone.

Pretty much everything - the characters were all terrible and their actions didn't make sense. Their arcs ended so abruptly that I was confused by what even happened during the ending. At least the audiobook narrator was decent...

I'll finish The Jetsetters today and I was hoping for an ending that maybe would make the reading worthwhile but sounds like that won't happen. This has been one of the worst books that I've read recently.
I think I’m going to remove my hold on Jetsetters. It wasn’t really a book I wanted to read anyway. I’ll read the YA instead.
Annalisa wrote: "I think I’m going to remove my hold on Jetsetters. It wasn’t really a book I wanted to read anyway. I’ll read the YA instead."The only thing that I can recommend about it is that it was a really easy and quick read.

Harsh but true...
And yep, definitely one of the worst books I've read in a while. I never give out 1 star ratings but I genuinely couldn't find any redeeming qualities.
Base on your review, Judy, I checked out the other GR reviews and generally the reviewers don't seem to like it. Quite a few 3/2/1star ratings. the average rating is 3.2
Annalisa wrote: "I think I’m going to remove my hold on Jetsetters. It wasn’t really a book I wanted to read anyway. I’ll read the YA instead."If you have scribd, the audio is available. I finished it this morning. The narrator was good. I think if I read the book I would have wanted to throw my kindle several times with the frustration because of some of the characters. I wound up giving it 3 stars and considering lowering it. The narrator is the only reason why I gave it such a high rating compared to a lot of the others who read the book.

Maybe I would have liked it better if I had listened to it rather than reading the ebook. It was just a chore to read at times. I'm waffling between 1 and 2 stars for it.

Yeah I don't think there were more than a couple people in the BOM discussion who actually somewhat liked it.
Jackie wrote: "Maybe I would have liked it better if I had listened to it rather than reading the ebook. It was just a chore to read at times. I was really wishing Scribd went faster than 2.0 speed.

Yeah it sounds like I'll skip out on the Jetsetters. It isn't one of my favorite genres to start with so if it isn't good I'll wait for other BoM.
Life has been topsy turvy right now. I’m going to changing some of my planned reads. I was planning on reading the Jetsetters but that’s off given the reviews.
Fair enough - can't blame you for giving this book a pass! The other BOMs for June & July look more promising :)

I haven't saw the movie yet since I prefer reading the book first and never got around to it. I can't remember the actor's name who plays the male lead but I love him in Riverdale
Maddy wrote: "Question - do we get penalties for going over monthly book count we signed up with?"I sure hope not. I have way more time to read right now than I usually do!
There is not a penalty for reading more than you signed up for. I have a feeling most people signed up for less than they will read. I signed up for what I read in April and May and that was half my pre COVID reading.
I also signed up with less books, because I simply didn't know what/when I would be able to read. Now it seems I'll be able to read more, but it may change next week. So it's comfortable not to have to worry about penalties. :)
