Since I was the one making the teams, most of the names are familiar to me, but I can't tell you that for sure.

Does it work if I tell you the themes and specifics?

Wheels 1: words were genres and teams where anagrams
Wheels 2: words were colors and teams where gemstones
Wheels 3: holiday edition. Theme was Nightmare before Christmas and we had 3 different wheels (Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas)
Wheels 4: the brown wheel. Words where shades of brown, each one had a genre paired with, and team names were books that had colors in the title.
Wheels 5: present one.

There, I think it's all

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments I'm okay with a spreadsheet or a thread. Whatever makes it easier on you.

Anyway, here's my shelf: wheels5

I also been procrastinating work looking at the genre tags, and, there's a few I can't simply do, because classics and I... we don't get along.

On my reading plan, so far I have
Husband Material by Xavier Mayne (that can work for X, R and H),
Spells for the Dead (Soulwood #5) by Faith Hunter (that can work for O, I, N, S and is tagged as Fairy/Fae),
The Botany of Desire A Plant's-Eye View of the World by Michael Pollan (that is tagged as Nature and works for S - audio narrator and T),
and maybe Artemis Fowl (Artemis Fowl, #1) by Eoin Colfer (that is also tagged as Fairy/Fae and works for a bunch of letters, specially the pesky E's that sometimes are harder to get than the so called hard ones)

If someone is interested, I also went through all the children's books tagged as spring and managed to find
The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame , Anne of Green Gables (Anne of Green Gables, #1) by L.M. Montgomery and The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett

Apoorv Moghe (goodreadscomapoorv) | 1267 comments Okay, I just saw all of you and then the Chris' and then squealed and left. Too much happiness! :D

So, I am Apoorv. I live in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, but I'm currently in India. I came here for vacation and visiting the fam in February, and have been here since then due to all the lockdowns. So, its been a nice extended vacation for me. :P

I LOVE Wheel-a-thons! I LOVE team challenges! I LOVE spreadsheets! I LOVE to co-captain, but this time I'm going to sit back and enjoy just reading. Kind of a happy change. Plus, most of you who I know are beasts at this - so this is going to be a rather slick challenge. FUUUUN!!

I'M EXCITED! (in case you weren't able to tell by my demur demeanor) ;=)

Also, I don't tend to plan my books ahead of time, but I am specifically reading only LGBT+ books this month, so I have a list in my head. I will try and fit all of that to fit as many tags, tasks, and spell-outs as possible.

Also also, tracking spreadsheet all the way! :D
Ummm... did I say I am excited about this?

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

Lemme know if it's given you access ok.

On the task sheet, everyone has their own column, as we can all do the tasks once each, rather than as a team. You don't have to fill it in, but it will make keeping track of which each team member has done easier.
Other than that it's the same as the official sheet, only with an extra column on the main page for any other letters your books might fit, so we can shuffle things around if we need to.

Alison (Lady Coffin) S | 949 comments Question for those of you more experienced with the Wheel, so this spin the tags we are looking for are "spring, bloom, renaissance, nature & fairy/fae"
My question is, if a book has a tag "fae-witch-magic" does that work for fae? It is spelled the same, so does that work for the "Genres must match exactly (though plural/singular is OK)"?
Or does the tag need to be "fairy/fae" both with the slash and all? Or would just "fairy" or "fae" work with no other words?

It would want to be fairy or fae (or fairies, etc). Usually other words added tends to disqualify it.

Well... fae-witch-magic doesn't work. That is a given.

My interpretation of the slash was that any of the words would fit, BUT, I can be thinking it wrong.

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Okay, my first 4 planned books are in there. My plans never work as expected...so... let's hope for the best.

2 audios, one bought, one ARC.
1 non fiction, 1 lgbt, 1 UF and 1 YA/middle grade... so yeah,... a little bit for any mood I can have.

I used my birthday as an excuse to buy a 36 tin set of faber castell polychromos, plus they were at a very good price, they are supposed to arrive tomorrow, so, perfect for spending the weekend listening to stuff :D

Ohhhh, Polychromos are awesome. Don't have any myself yet, but do have the full set of 148 Promarkers. love them, but the lack of a nice dark brown is annoying. Keep meaning to grab some Copics to make up for that.

They are. I discovered an art store that has them individually, and have been buying them as needed.

After trying a set of 120 castle arts - they aren't bad, but not polychromos material - I realized that I don't need that many different tones.

So, with the 36 set, plus the ones I already had, I get a nice range... just need a few more earth tones, and some orange & red...

Do they blend nicely? it's the one thing that has kept me going back to the alcohol markers again and again, because they blend so effortlessly (provided you use the right kind of paper/card of course).
I usually prefer markers to pencils because of the comparative lack of pigmentation, but from what I've seen the Polychromos are super pigmented!

Well... I don't know a thing about marker blending...

But polychromos blend nicely, specially if you use a solvent - which I haven't cause I tend to like the rustic look.

But they allow things like this:
