nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Originally, my goal was 50 books, but since I started reading graphic novels and short non-fictions, why not 60?

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Sea Witch (Sea Witch, #1) by Sarah Henning

Book 1.

3,75 stars. I read this when I was on a vacation in Bali. I don't know whether I love it or just like it, but I enjoy it a lot. I have the sequel, and probably I'm going to read it at the end of the year.

message 3: by nora (last edited Jun 01, 2020 02:21AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Wonder Woman Warbringer (DC Icons, #1) by Leigh Bardugo

Book 2.

5 stars. First Leigh Bardugo's book I've ever read. I love everything in it. I laughed, I grinned, I gasped, I cried. I love it. Will read her other books soon.

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments The Darkest Star (Origin, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Book 3.

4,5 stars This was amazing. I love Luc and his stupid shirts. The romance made my heart goes all giddy. I'm reading the sequel now.

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Seafire (Seafire, #1) by Natalie C. Parker

Book 4.

4,25 stars. My feminist self love this. I mean, a group of badass and diverse female pirates? *chef's kiss*

message 6: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments We Are Blood and Thunder (We Are Blood and Thunder #1) by Kesia Lupo

Book 5.

4 stars. I read this at school, isolating myself from people. It was kind of worth it. The cover's cool. I love the inside as well.

message 7: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Heart of Thorns (Heart of Thorns, #1) by Bree Barton

Book 6.

message 8: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Filthy Rich Boys (Rich Boys of Burberry Prep, #1) by C.M. Stunich

Book 7.

3,75 stars. This was a guilty pleasure read. I was never interested in Bully High School Romance or Reverse Harem, and this was both. I enjoyed it, but I don't think I'll continue the series.

message 9: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Undertow (Undertow #1) by Michael Buckley

Book 8.

5 stars. Perfection. It was a refreshing read. I'm surprised this book is so underrated. I love it so much, I might re-read it someday, when I finish at least 25% of my to-be-read list that is.

message 10: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Reign of Shadows (Reign of Shadows, #1) by Sophie Jordan

Book 9.

4,5 stars. I bought this from a bazaar because I like the cover, but I don't know what it is about. When I found out that it is a Rapunzel retellings but the heroine is blind, but still so fierce, and there are also monsters? I finished this for only two sitting. The romance was great. But, I have no interest on reading the sequel.

message 11: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Ever the Hunted (Clash of Kingdoms, #1) by Erin Summerill

Book 10.

4,75 stars. I love this so much. It was a fun, quick read. The romance was cute. Cohen is cute.

message 12: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments The Stars Never Rise (The Stars Never Rise, #1) by Rachel Vincent

Book 11.

5 stars. This was the best paranormal romance I've read? It was action-packed, funny, intense. The main romance was kind of insta-lovey but it was unique. I've never read one like it. Rachel Vincent got herself a new fan. I will read the sequel real soon.

message 13: by nora (last edited Jun 01, 2020 03:03AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments All Your Twisted Secrets by Diana Urban

Book 12.

4,25 stars. I love One of Us is Lying, and when I heard this book, I know I was going to love it. And I do. The escape room idea is pulling me in to read this book, and I'm glad I did.

message 14: by nora (last edited Jun 01, 2020 11:02AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller

Book 13.

4,5 stars. I love it, but not that much? Maybe it's because it took me so long to finish this, and that is because I was with my cousins all the time, so I'm not thoroughly focused on this book. It was not as dark as I thought it would be. I love the Shadow King though.

message 15: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Love & Gelato (Love & Gelato, #1) by Jenna Evans Welch

Book 14.

3,75 stars. I enjoyed it. It was cute. But I don't think I love it.

message 16: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments To Love Jason Thorn by Ella Maise

Book 15.

4,5 stars. I pulled an all-nighter just for this book, and it was worth it. I love it. Jason and Olive was just so cute.

message 17: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Rules for Vanishing by Kate Alice Marshall

Book 16.

3,75 stars. First try on horror book. There were scary moments but it didn't scare me that much. I was going to give 3,5 stars, but seeing how the story was told is just cool, I add a 0,25.

message 18: by nora (last edited Jun 11, 2020 12:52AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Keystone by Katie Delahanty

Book 17.

3,25 stars. Meh, I don't find the love interests attractive at all. The heist idea was cool, the influence idea was cool, but I don't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

message 19: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Sincerely, Carter (Sincerely Carter, #1) by Whitney G.

Book 18.

4 stars. Finished this in like 6 hours. I love it, but I don't think I'm going to read the sequel.

message 20: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1) by Sarah J. Maas

Book 19.

4,75 stars. I DNF this back in 2018, and I started all over again. I did not regret it. That worm fighting scene still gets me everytime. I love Feyre, I love Rhysand, I love Lucien. I love the book. But Tamlin? Nah.

message 21: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

Book 20.

message 22: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Warrior of the Wild by Tricia Levenseller

Book 21.

4,75 stars. Second book by Tricia Levenseller that I've read, and I enjoyed this way much better than The Shadows Between Us. The Vikings + Romance idea was captivating. I love the heroine. I love the romances. It's action-packed too, which made me love it even more.

message 23: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #2) by Sarah J. Maas

Book 22.

5 stars. Infinity stars, if possible. ACOTAR walked, so ACOMAF could run. Ugh, this book is everything. I have no words.

message 24: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Ruined (Ruined, #1) by Amy Tintera

Book 23.

3,5 stars. I like it. It was good, with great action scenes and nice romance. But I feel like it was bland. I'm not going to read the rest of the series.

message 25: by nora (last edited Jun 01, 2020 11:12AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Stalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper, #1) by Kerri Maniscalco

Book 24.

5 stars. Why didn't I pick this up sooner? It was so intriguing. I relate to Audrey Rose, and I shamelessly fancy Thomas Cresswell. I love it, I love it, I love it. I'm reading the second book of this series next.

message 26: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Lady Killer, Vol. 1 by Joëlle Jones

Book 27.

4,25 stars. A kick-ass graphic novel. It was action-packed ans gory, I love it. The artwork was amazing and richly detailed, the colors are just *heart eyes*

message 29: by nora (last edited Jun 01, 2020 11:12AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Fence, Vol. 1 by C.S. Pacat

Book 28.

5 stars. I was grinning so hard reading this. I can't believe I had doubts before going into this one. Lowkey shipping Nicholas and Seiji.

message 30: by nora (last edited Jun 01, 2020 11:12AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Fence, Vol. 2 by C.S. Pacat

Book 29.

5 stars. It was so addictive. I pulled an all-nighter to read this. I had to. So worth it. My thought to Nicholas and Seiji was ugh, can you make out already?

message 31: by nora (last edited Jun 01, 2020 11:12AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Fence, Vol. 3 by C.S. Pacat

Book 30.

5 stars. Perfection. Best Graphic Novel I've read so far. I can't wait for Fence: Rivals. It's not even a month until it releases, Nora, be patient. This will always has a special place in my heart. Ugh, I can't.

message 32: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Heartstopper Become Human by Alice Oseman

Book 31.

4,5 stars I haven't read Heartstopper: Volume One yet, but as this is based on Detroit: Become Human, I won't get spoiled anything. I played the game and I'm still completely obsessed with it. And this one was adorable. I love it. Especially the times when Nick blushed blue. (Yeah, android's blood are blue). Anyways, I'm still squealing over part two.

message 33: by nora (last edited Jun 02, 2020 04:18AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell

Book 32.

3,25 stars. I didn't enjoy this as much as I thought I would. Even though this is the lowest book I've ever rated, it was still adorable nonetheless. Deja's face and her dimples were the only reasons I could finish this book, she was just *uwu*.

message 34: by nora (last edited Jun 02, 2020 10:06AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Young Avengers, Volume 1 Style > Substance by Kieron Gillen

Book 33.

3,75 stars. I love Marvel, and when I saw this, I knew I had to read it. Personally, I don't know exactly everything from the Marvel Universe, as I don't watch every movies, and this is the first Marvel comic that I read. That explains why I was confused in certain parts, but overall I enjoyed it. It was a fun read. Oh, and America Chavez is so badass? Ugh, I love her.

message 35: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments F*ck This What to Say Now That Everything’s Gone to Sh*t by Sam Dixon

Book 34.

4 stars. I bought this when I stayed in London last fall, along with the book below (Book 35) because I was bored. I don't really have someone that I feel wholly comfortable to rage and vent to, so I usually just go to this book. It doesn't do much since it's not an actual person, but still it helps me feel a bit better.

message 36: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments The Little Book of Foreign Swearwords by Sid Finch

Book 35

3,5 stars. Oof, book 35 and 3,5 stars. I didn't really know why I bought this when I could just use Google Translate, but my friend bought it too, so why not? After reading the whole book, I got rather disappointed of the content.

message 37: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Book 36

5 stars. We Should All Read This. This is an essay, which shocks me because it doesn't feel like it. It was compelling and conversational-toned. I love this so much, even though it's short and only an introduction.

message 38: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Wild Embers Poems of Rebellion, Fire and Beauty by Nikita Gill

Book 37.

4,5 stars. First poetry books I've read and I love it. It was Breathtaking, captivating, enthralling. And the fairytale and goddesses themes are my favorites.

message 39: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Choose Your Own Disaster by Dana Schwartz

Book 38.

3,25 stars. I like the Choose Your Own Adventure or Personality Quiz idea of the book. I didn't enjoy this as much as I thought I would.

message 40: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Heavy Vinyl Riot on the Radio, Vol. 1 by Carly Usdin

Book 39.

4,5 stars, I went into this without knowing anything. It was better than what I expected. I love the colors, the artwork. It also has mystery in it and so much #girlpower.

message 41: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments The Princess Saves Herself in This One (Women Are Some Kind of Magic, #1) by Amanda Lovelace

Book 40.

4,75 stars. Despite the hitting-enter-after-every-word thing, it was so raw, so hurting, so emotional and empowering. It was about self-love and self-respect, how to be strong and unapologetic. I love it.

message 42: by nora (last edited Jun 16, 2020 04:15AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments The Plagiarist by Hugh Howey

Book 41.

3,25 stars. The premise pulled me into this book. It was cool, but I was confused most times. I wasn't focusing much, I have too lot on my mind. Oof.

message 43: by nora (last edited Jun 16, 2020 04:15AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Her Deadly Secrets by Laura Griffin

Book 42.

3,75 stars. I'm going to put aside the fact that the title has nothing to do with the story. This is my first romantic suspense read, and I enjoy it. It was action-packed, but somehow I was bored in the middle and did not read it for two days. Then, I finally picked it up again and finished it. Yay. I have nothing to say about the romance.

message 44: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Wolf by Wolf (Wolf by Wolf, #1) by Ryan Graudin

Book 43.

5 stars. I finally picked this up, and boy, was it awesome. I wonder how my stupid butt waited for a month to actually read this. The plot was so intriguing, and it was action-packed, with a little romance. The writing is just . . . I'm in love. Iron to Iron, and Blood for Blood, here I come.

message 45: by nora (last edited Jun 16, 2020 04:11AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Stolen Songbird (The Malediction Trilogy, #1) by Danielle L. Jensen

Book 44.

4,75 stars. A new favorite. It was really long, but good thing the chapters were short and it was fast-paced. Ugh, I love Anaïs.

message 46: by nora (last edited Jun 11, 2020 05:54AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments The Avant-Guards, Vol. 1 by Carly Usdin

Book 45.

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments In Real Life by Cory Doctorow

Book 46.

4,5 stars. I was hesitant to pick this up at first, and eventually I went into it not knowing anything else other than that this graphic novel contains gaming. I had low expectations, and I'm still shocked that I enjoyed this so much.

message 48: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Fierce Fairytales Poems and Stories to Stir Your Soul by Nikita Gill

Book 47.

3,75 stars. The second poetry book by Nikita Gill that I've read. And this one I read whilst listening to Sleeping At Last's songs. Beautiful.

message 49: by nora (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments The Winner's Curse (The Winner's Trilogy, #1) by Marie Rutkoski

Book 48.

3,25 stars. I don't know how I was bored with this, yet I kept reading and managed to finish this in 3 hours. It was okay. The romance didn't connect with me and the political intrigue didn't interest me that much. Not looking forward to reading the rest of the trilogy either.

message 50: by nora (last edited Jun 23, 2020 03:02AM) (new)

nora (noraelsea) | 61 comments Feminists Don't Wear Pink (And Other Lies) Amazing Women on What the F-Word Means to Them by Scarlett Curtis

Book 49.

5 stars. Everyone need to read this. When I saw some of my favorite actresses (such as Saoirse Ronan, Jameela Jamil, Karen Gillan, and others) contributed in this book, I knew I had to read this. I did not expect this to have poetry and history of feminism as well.
