Stella's life was not all unicorns and rainbows. But she never had the horrors like some of the demi-god children. Estelle was never mistreated by her single father. He was understanding of the difference between her and normal children. Daniel loved his daughter with a passion only a father could. After Estelle was born from Emilia, Aphrodite's name for the human she became, Aphrodite explained that their daughter, Estelle would be different from the rest of the children. That she would be smarter, stronger, and way prettier. What Aphrodite didn't know was that the guy she swore to love was a demi-god, a son of Athena.
As Estelle began to grow up she always found herself in sticky situations. Like when the school mean girls decided to gang up on her and she told them to stop and leave her alone, they did. Immediately, Daniel told his daughter about Charmspeak and what she really was.

History:
Solana was born to a young teenager. She was sent to live with her Aunt and Uncle who hated her guts. Her cousin was a stuck up jerk and did everything she could to make Solana's life miserable. She was only five when she decided that she was going to run away. Her small form crawled through the thick weeds in the forest behind her house and she had tripped so much her hands and knees were bleeding badly. She stumbled across a town stuck in the past and was put into an orphanage. Her life turned upside down when she met Jill, a satyr, who helped her learn the ropes at her new home. As she grew up people only cared about her pretty face. Constantly she was tormented for being a girl who didn't care about looks. The only one who understood her was Jill. On her 14th birthday she ran away with Jill and Jill led them to Camp Half-Blood which was incredibly easy until she got to Thalia's pine. Three harpies emerged from the bushes and attacked. History: Ariana's father (his name is John, by the way) is a museum curator and art man, but he is also a very down-to-earth man and loves his children. While still in art college, he met Courtney and they soon began dating. They enjoy a happy relationship and later marriage, but when their baby is born, Courtney does not survive. John is devastated, but he loves the newcomer Gray with all his heart and does not give up on him. A year later, one evening at the museum, he met Hekate (well, her earthly form), and after a few dates and 9 months later, Aliana appeared. But then Hekate returns to the gods and John has left with a baby again. For her fourteenth birthday, he gave her a cat, explaining that she and the cat are very similar - both are flexible, unpredictable, charming, and love to sleep. Aliana just smiles and explains to the cat that if she eats her favorite slippers (and they are fluffy and just attract cat's eyes) she will turn her into one. Gray begins to worry about the kitten but soon sees how attached Aliana is to it. They decide to name it Nyx/means night/ because the cat reminds Aliana of her mother and although she doesn't remember her, she feels close to her at night. So far, everything is going well and everyone is happy. John was then offered a place as a professor at the University of the Arts, but they had to move. That's what they do ... One day, soon after the move, Aliana is attacked by monsters at her school. She has to use magic to protect herself, but something in the spell goes wrong and her white hair appears. She manages to escape and somehow admits to her family the long-kept secret that she can do magic... but the attacks continue, and her father is so worried that he takes extreme measures - he somehow manages to summon/call Hekate and ask her where Aliana will be safe, so they decide that they should send her to the camp. The next day a satyr comes and takes her away...

History: When she was 13, her mother died from cancer, and when she was placed into the care of her uncle and namesake, monsters started attacking. Rhys quickly explained to her about who her father was, and the two moved to New York. Reese attends CHB in the spring, summer, and early fall, and spends the rest of the school year with Rhys and his husband Milo. She dated Danny, the son of Euterpe, for a while, but they ended up breaking up after a month.

Personality: Raiden is a young, headstrong girl who's not afraid of taking risks. Her mother named her Raiden, the technically male name for the god of storm, so that whatever Rosa's child was, they would represent their father. She is a dangerous, clever, fall-hard kind of girl who always finds a way to laugh, or at least be sarcastic. She's fearless; she'd lay it all on the line for her friends or family. Before Camp
Light. Thunder. Screams. Sirens. That's how it all happened. In a daze.
It was midnight, on a stormy night. Raiden, for some reason, was outside, her 6-year-old body drenched from head-to-toe. That's when the lightning struck. Rosa Gale, realizing where her daughter was, rushed out of her house, her scream of terror filling the air. She dove for her child, just as the lightning hit them. Two screams sounded through the rain, through the crash of thunder; one of pure terror, the other, pain. Sirens wailed, just barely audible over the rain and thunder. All they ever found was a girl, a young girl, crying over the dead body of her mother. No one would figure out why a small child, a 6-year-old, survived a lightning strike, when the older, healthy woman couldn't. But Raiden knew. She knew she was special, that she was different, but she never figured it was anything real.
Homes. Families. Dogs, lawns, siblings, beds. Raiden bounced from house-to-house, never staying with the same family for more than a few months. For one and a half years, she stayed at eight different houses, eight different schools, eight different families. It was terrible. Eventually, Raiden got tired of it all. She ran off, and never looked back.
At Camp
Half a year after she left, Raiden appeared at camp, bloodied by monsters, without a satyr guiding her. She had help, though. Her father, which she later found out to be Zeus, felt terrible about killing Rosa, Raiden's mother, so to make it up to both Rosa and Raiden, Zeus guided her through monster-infested cities, through dark alleys and cold nights. Finally, she reached her destination. Scars along her left shoulder, bicep, knee, shin, and even one across her cheek remind her of her "adventures" out in the wild.
Even now that she was at camp, she had a few adventures. Both involving a broken-down chariot and Zeus' fist in the woods...but that's for another time. Raiden's lonely. No one really seems to want to befriend her. But she wouldn't stop. She laughs at the jokes her siblings make and picks herself off the ground and fight harder every time she falls. Sure, she's lonely. Has no one to talk to. But maybe someone will decide to be nice for once.

Backstory: She was born in Washington state, USA, though She donβt have any Regional influences. Kayla's active, but not athletic. Even though she has anxiety, that doesn't stop her. She has a mom and stepdad who loves her, and a little step brother named Hector. Kayla had met her dad once, by accident. Or was it an accident? She'll never know.
How She Met Ares: She was in 5th grade when it happened, towards the end of the year. Kayla's bully, Sarah Andrews, was picking on her weight and appearance, and how she was terrible at spelling. Kayla felt this thing inside her gut and anger boiled her blood. She screamed at her to shut up, when she brought up how Kayla didnβt even know her bio dad, and She lost it. Kayla punched her in the nose, and heard a satisfying crunch from her face, and the wails of her scream and cries. This is how she got kicked out of school. But anyways, Kayla knew that she could punch, just not that much. A voice spoke behind her. βGreat job. I personally would have done more, but not bad, kid.β Kayla then turned around, tears stinging her cheek. She saw Ares, and She felt. . .this. . . connection. βWho are you?β Kayla asked and he smiled, and laughed. It was how she laughed; deep and loud with occasional snort. She smiled, though Kayla have no idea why. The two had a whole conversation, and eventually he said, βI came to check on my other kid who is in the middle school, when I sensed you.β He said, looking right at Kayla. βYour other kid?β βYeah. Your one, I went to go see the other one.β Kayla smiled. She couldnβt help it. She just met her dad. Kayla wasnβt even angry. She just finally met him. He left in red flames that died down a second after, and Kayla went home and told her mother everything. After that, monsters attack. Found out the other kid from the middles chool died of a car accident soon later.
Scar Backstory: Kayla has this long scar on her leg from mid thigh to ankle from fighting a Hellhound on her way to CHB. What happened was she was in New York visiting family, and she was riding her bike around Queens when there was this bark. She went towards it and it was literally a nightmare. Kayla ran fast to get away, and ended up on Long Island, but the thing was still chasing her. She reached a hill (CHB Hill) and saw a bunch of people. She started screaming and yelling for help, when an archer shot over her head, piercing the hellhound. It fell, nearly grabbing her ripped hoodie. Kayla stumbled up the hill, gasping for breath.

General Description- Angela is very careful. No one would guess it from her behavior, but sheβs very careful to look carefree. If you look as if youβre scared all the time, people start to ask questions, such as what could be worrying you. And if you have a good reason to be scared. She carefully calculates what her reactions to others should be based on their behavior and mannerisms and the way she wants to appear.
Sometimes, that includes fun things, like starting fires in her dorm room⦠and other times, it means, you know, being social. It looks as if she loves being around people, but when she spends too much time with too many people, she experiences sensory overload. Too much of any sense or multiple senses will cause her to be unable to keep track of everything in her head, sending her into a state of extreme panic.
She hates bright colors, loud and sudden noises, skin to skin contact, sour things, and strong smells. Just to name one for each sense. She loves music, though. It helps her to calm down. She can often be seen with one headphone in, and her phone in her pocket playing music. Her favorite music artists are Alec Benjamin and Melanie Martinez.
If she could, she would stay in her room forever and just lose herself in the worlds of different books. She often does just that over the weekends, although every other weekend she disappears for a day, then shows up the next day with her mask firmly in place.

Angela was born to a woman who made her money by selling herself on the street. The woman was young, didnβt want a child. But she didnβt have the heart to get rid of Angie, so Angela learned from a very young age that her mother didnβt want her. And she didnβt even know who her father was. Ares had left before she was born, and her mother didnβt even know whoβs child she had.
Eventually, the monsters came for them. They killed Angieβs mother, and left the five-year-old girl with no one to go to, living on the streets. She survived for a long time before a satyr found her- 16 years. When sheβs introduced into the roleplay, itβs going to be her first day at Camp Half-Blood.

Backstory: Derrekβs mother died when he was in third grade, so he lived on the streets since then, and he found out from an child of Hecate (who had died when he was in 8th grade) an way to help control the mist so that he could enroll in schools. Heβs had many monster attacks, and expels from all across Montanna, and the child of Hecate, Ari Mari Welsh, says that she knew a place that can be called βhomeβ, and it was opening for kids like them. On the way there, he fell in love with Ari, met his father and Ari had passed.
How He Met Eros: Ari and Derrek were so close to getting to New York, only to be delayed by Derrek having this feeling his gut was expanding to a blackhole, heart fluttering, palms sweaty. βWait!β He yelled and stopped dead in his tracks. βWhat?β Ari asked, confused. βSomeone is in love.β He said softly and looked around. Nearby was an an girl and guy walking down the street, the guy talking with an stupid grin on his face, making gestures with his hands. βStop it! My cheeks hurt.β The girl said, laughing. βThem.β Derrek whispered, and so he gestured to Ari to follow him. Ari rolled her eyes but did it anyway. Suddenly the guy turned toward the girl, his eyes glowing a pinkish red and started yelling at her to get away. The girl, heartbroken, ran off crying. Puzzled, Derrek looked around when he saw a man crouched on the building in front of the group. He was handsome, but terrifying in a way. He held a pink bow with a quiver full of arrows. The guy who was yelling at the girl stopped, as if in a trance, and looked around confused. He saw the girl and ran after her, yelling to wait up. The guy ran off. Ari and Derrek ran to follow the guy, and when they caught up with him, the mysterious guy smiled. βBeen wondering when you would show up.β He said with a smile. βApollo?β Derrek asked, and the god laughed. βNo, no. Iβm Eros, son.β He said, a gleam in his eyes. βLike the Greek god?β Derrek asked, and Eros nodded. Derrek, Ari, and Eros had a brief conversation before he disappeared in an shower of pink dust. A Satyr came running up to them, confused.

Backstory: Ollie grew up in an easy, cute little home in Colorado. For a demigod life, Ollie grew up in an easy-going life. It was only when his stepsister came into his life that made her thoughts spiraled into darkness, as she would torment Ollie mentally, deadnaming it, trying to get under their skin. Ollieβs boyfriend broke up with them after he found out that Ollieβs pronouns consist of she/her/hers and that Ollie will feel more feminine at times. Came to CHB after a dream from his father.
How Ollie Met Dionysus: Ollieβs mother could see through this mist, and she knew that Ollieβs father was Dionysus, and she explained to Ollie about CHB and demigods and all the greek myths and whatnot. Ollie honestly did not care about it all and thought his mother was drunk on wine, again. She always talked about Dad when drunk. However, in the middle of the night in mid-May, he had a dream. Ollie was standing atop a hill overlooking a field filled with strange buildings: an amphitheater, a big house, and little houses in a U shape with others hanging off. Fresh fruit flooded Ollieβs nose. The sour smell of wine came into focus, like a TV going static. A pudgy man in a leopard shirt and shorts appeared next to her, sipping Diet Coke. The man turned around and sighed. βWell, I suppose you will meet me soon enough. Also, your life is in danger in three. . .two. . one. . β and Ollie woke up, the sound of a roar jolting him up. Ollie had to fight a hydra, then traveled to CHB.
Scar Backstory: Ollie has a scar from when her step-sister pushed Ollie into the wall, and kept teasing her, and pushed a bookshelf over onto him. One of the corners cut across Ollieβs left cheek, leaving a small, but permanent scar. Ollie also broke their wrist during this.

Personality: Eden is usually charming and sweet to others, with an outgoing exterior and is almost always making pop-culture references even if some people around don't understand the majority of the time. She can be a dangerous enemy if provoked enough, and even if she isn't always confrontational, she is always ready to stand up for her friends.
History: Eden and her father never stayed in one place for too long. While her father was an aspiring musician, he was also a son of an Olympian, which meant the two were almost always being pursued by monsters. Eden's home was always on the road, some of her earliest memories included singing along with her father to classic '80s songs while travelling state through the state. She got educated, but her dyslexia and ADHD sometimes muddled with it, so she was partially taught by her father most of the time, despite him having the same conditions as her. When she was nine she was the victim of a harpy attack that resulted in her having a horrendous scar on her back and two broken bones, her father decided it was best to send her off to Camp Half-blood, which he had attended in his youth.

He's a somewhat sweet person, can be really caring and gentle and that is what he prefers. But since he was a child he has always given his all to please his parents (well, Josephine may be his biological mother but Liam isn't and neither has he ever cared much about the boy though Malcolm refuses to see that), make them notice him and care about him more but their attention is almost always on his younger brother so he has to put a lot of effort into it. Which is why he tries everything in his power to make them notice him and prove to them that he is worthy of their care. He tries to get as many achievements as possible because it makes them notice him. It doesn't matter if he hates all that he's asked to do, learn martial arts, win medals for Liam to show off, and sometimes kill people too. Because, well, his βfatherβ is an important person and powerful figure who sometimes needs to do away with, or if he's uncomfortable with manipulating someone because it just seems wrong, he'll do it because that's what his parents want and he will do anything to make them proud and have them give him some attention. But away from his parents, he has a much softer side that he hides most of the time and only showed around his brother, Ryan, and his close friends because according to his father he couldn't be anything but cutthroat if he wanted to survive in this world. He also doesn't enjoy what he does, hates himself for what he has done in the name of getting his father's love. But at command, he can turn into a ruthless killing machine, unless said machine is aimed at people he has come to care about, in which case he will put his foot down and refuse to hurt them because he can't bring himself to. Because he has always been somewhat empathetic and while he squashes that part down during occasions, when it comes to his loved ones, it's just too much, it's pushing too kuch and he cannot do that. He's got limits. He's got morals. And he refuses to leave that completely even if Liam hates that.
History:
A child of Aphrodite and Josephine, born five months before his mother was married off to business tycoon Liam Dalloway by her family, Malcolm has no idea of his heritage at all.
When he's 1, Liam would indulge the child with games, appear to listen intently to his babblings, would direct a smile or five at the child.
When he's 2, the boy doesn't see his dad as much. The smiles are duller but he's too young and too distracted by the bright and loud world to notice. He's active, he's up on his feet, he's running around. He doesn't notice the shift in behaviour starting.
When he's 3, Liam's almost never around, and when he is, the man is always a little formal, a little distant and a little colder. No longer does the child cling to his dad's sleeve and race up to him when he learns something new, trying to share it with his dad. He learnt better after the first time.
He's 4. Mom and dad are arguing. Suddenly the sound of something breaking is heard. Malcolm peaks around and dad's thrown a glass against the opposite wall. Dad storms out and Malcolm ducks to hide behind the bookshelf nearby but isn't fast enough. Dad's eyes soften a little, but not enough, and he bends down to Malcolm's level. Malcolm remembers the next words clearly. βHow would you like to come see dad at work, buddy?"
The child nods. Regrets it for the rest of his life.
Dad's got a lot of friends. None of them like having a 4 year old in the building but dad ignores them. And when one of them argues about Malcolm's presence in there, one of dad's closest friends steps in. That's when Malcolm meets Arthur Sharpe. He's a man with eyes that are a dark, scary, almost-black green colour and jet black eyes. There's a scar running down his neck, and his hands are rougher than even dad's. That added to his pale skin and the analytical look in his eyes, Malcolm's scared.
But being with dad for the next 7 hours means that he sees Arthur a lot. And in that time he comes to know a quite about the man. One, is that Arthur never raises his voice. Like ever. His voice is deep, and he keeps it low. It's both intimidating and comforting. Because after hearing mom and dad yell, he didn't want to hear anybody else raise their voices. Another thing, is that Arthur is apparently dad's head of security. And he's got these really cool fancy knives that are golden in colour. Dad has a bronze one, but Malcolm never sees him use it as anything but a paperweight.
There's a lot he sees in the next few hours, and he's an observant child so notices things nobody would expect him to. He feels the aura from dad when in a meeting. Sees the glares and the way everybody is always tense, and how the words are always careful and planned. The adults tiptoe around each other and while he doesn't understand why, he has a feeling he shouldn't make a single noise and he doesn't.
The fear Liam wields, the way he commands a room puts Malcolm off a lot. There's something wrong. Something scary. But he's too young to understand it.
At the end of the day dad picks him up in his arms and looks him in the eyes as he asks, "Malcolm, do you want to help dad with his work?"
In all his childlike innocence, Malcolm agrees. Because he wants to help dad, feels that it would make him happy. It does. But it also changes Malcolm's life forever.
It starts with small things. The first thing Malcolm ever learns is to defend himself. Arthur teaches him that. The first thing Malcolm learns is to hold a dagger. It was unbalanced, too big for his childish hands, but it was the only weapon he was allowed to use. A steel dagger with the word βvengeanceβ carved on it in Greek. The words looked familiar but he couldn't place them, and nobody would tell him. So he pushed his queries to the side and focused on practising. After all he had to make his parents proud.
Then Ryan was born, Malcolm was five then. He watched as the tiny little being was passed around the relatives, watched all of them coo at the child, and when it was his turn to look at the baby, all he saw was a tiny fragile thing that couldn't protect itself. He frowned slightly and promised himself that he'll protect them both. Because mom and dad could handle themselves. So could Malcolm, because he was a big boy! And he'll keep Ryan safe too! (Let's just say thing did not work out that way....)
He's six, and every morning he has a fixed workout regiment that he follows. Every month more exercises are added to it. Every 3 months he learns something new, every six months he spars with those closer to his height and age.
Dad enrolls him in martial arts. Doesn't exactly mean much because it was a cover for how skilled he was becoming. He attended class once a week and that was enough. Anything more was covered by dad.
Years passed like this, and in between this Dad grew more distant than ever. Mom wasn't that close with him anyways since he had been five. Ryan, to be honest, was the only real family. Plus dad if his once in a while check-ins counted.
Arthur had become a constant in his life now. As a mentor and a sort of uncle figure. But that doesn't mean he went any easier on Malcolm. And by the age of ten, whether he liked it or not, Malcolm knew how to kill a full grown man. It took a lot of effort but he knew how to do it. And the next year, he talked to his father properly for the first time... Only to be assigned a task by him quite coldly and be reminded that Arthur will be there to watch for any mistakes.
The task was threatening one of dad's business partners into agreement. He was 11, so nobody expected him to be able to do it. And he didn't do it at first, but Arthur pulled him to the side to talk and 15 minutes later Malcolm went in and came out, leaving the victim sufficiently scared.
Didn't make Liam go any easier on him for his initial hesitance.
Every year, every new milestone, added more scars and bruises to his being. Something shifted in Malcolm when he first killed at his father's orders. Something darkened. Only person who noticed was Ryan. But he was too young to do much and could only watch his older brother destroy a part of himself every time he followed their father's orders.
He turned 14 and he had a golden dagger and steel one on his body. His hand twitched without the familiar feel of a gun in it. The distance gave him the comfort that he wouldn't have to see the blood which would spill inevitably. The gun that kept him safe. It was the only thing he knew as safety anymore.
Long gone was the child who would cling to his parents and believe they would keep him safe. He hadn't talked to his mother informally in years. His father would occasionally talk to him, but it was few and far in between and generally after one of his βmissionsβ as they dubbed it and Malcolm was too much in pain to really think much of those interactions.
Then came the attack from the monsters. First it was a hellhound. Arthur had told him to expect something out of the ordinary to be seen at some point. And if that happened he was to get his bronze knife out. So he did as he remembered being instructed to. It took 20 minutes. But the hound was dust when he was done.
Malcolm turned and left unaware of being watched by a satyr.
Next day at martial arts class, since he was homeschooled and didn't attend any other school, one of the new kids walked up to him and said that he had recently moved here and would appreciate if Malcolm would show him around a little. Despite knowing that it was a bad idea to stray from his schedule, Malcolm did so and without informing anyone, went with the new kid.
He doesn't know if he regrets it or not because not an hour later they were chased by dracaena to Long Island, a safe place according to the new guy. Arriving there, covered in way less cuts than a newbie should have, Malcolm stepped through the border and into a world that had been so close yet so far.
He was claimed 2 years later. Carries no attachment to any parent. Has been ignoring all three mortal adult figures in his life for the past 3 years. Has the ends of his hair coloured red. Has short nails coloured blue and horrifies his siblings on a daily basis with his horrible fashion sense though it is more of a choice rather than not knowing how to dress. Because seriously, come on, he was raised in a high class family. And to be his dad's pet assassin. He knows how to blend in and look good. He just likes this one choice that is his won. One thing he can control properly at his age. His appearance. His charmspeak is haywire and out of control anyways.
