Sydney seems nice and outgoing, but that's just because she tries to cover up her backstory (see history). People usually avoid her since she's a daughter of Hades, but once you get to know her, she isn't really dark and lonely, but she's actually a fun and nice person.
History:
Sydney got her middle name from Persephone, her dad's wife. It was hard for her mother to raise her in the sweltering heat of Miami, but they were fine. Until one day when she came back from school at the age of eight and saw that her home had been destructed by an unexpected flood. Only the homes near the shore had been destroyed and everyone came out safely, but she could not find her mom. Being a child of Hades, she could tell her mother was dead, and it was confirmed a few hours later when the investigation police came out with her mother's body and a sympathetic death statement.
Sydney was never quite the same after that. A week later, her father Hades came to see her under lots of risks, and he told her about the Greek gods and how they were real. Confused, Sydney had to find her way to Camp Half-Blood and since she couldn't really travel by air, Hades sent a satyr named Liam to help her reach safely. Sydney also carried a grudge against Poseidon since water was the cause of her mother's death, so they couldn't travel by sea either. After a while, they finally reached Camp Half-Blood, but since Sydney, being a child of the Big Three, had a strong scent, they were tailed by a group of monsters and her satyr guide Liam also perished. Devastated, Sydney made her way across camp's borders, ready to start a new life.

Charlotte is very kind, caring, humble, and loyal, but despite being a granddaughter of Aphrodite, is clueless in love. But being almost identical to a daughter of Aphrodite (her mom), everyone is in love with her, but she just shrugs them off, knowing nothing about love, and gets the nickname ‘Ice Queen’, even though she is the kindest person you’ll ever meet.

Alana Cartier was a daughter of Aphrodite who was never brought to camp. Her scent was strong enough for monsters, but not strong enough for satyrs. She stayed with her father, step-mother (who she thought was her mother), and her step-brother, until she was 17, when, after many monster attacks and the death of her step-sister, she ran away. It was always her dream to go to Paris, so after she ran away, she scraped together enough money to follow her dreams. When she got there, she was offered a job as an attendant for a train made for celebrities. She expected to work for just a few months, then buy a house in Paris, but ended up falling in love with her job, traveling around the world and meeting celebrities. 5 years later, when she was 22, she sensed something in one of her passengers that she didn’t quite understand. She was surprised when he sliced a monster attacking her in Montreal, and even more surprised when he asked her out. They had their first date on the plane, and she never wanted him to leave. When he did, he gave Alana a camera, and a set of lip gloss. About a month later, Alana found out she was pregnant with the man’s child. When the child was born, she named her Charlotte, after her ‘mother’. The two had a small apartment in Paris, but almost never used it. They mostly lived in a small room on the train, just barely big enough for the two, for 5 years, until they were moved to a bigger room. At about that time, Charlotte took in all the lush landscapes of around Europe, and wanted other people to see them too. She signed up for a photography class from a famous photographer, and fell in love with photography. When she was seven, Alana gave her the camera from Hermes. She used it all the time, and was only slightly surprised when it never ran out of space. Also at that time, Alana started seeing another man. It was only for 2 weeks, but before he left, he revealed himself to be Eros. And, like with Charlotte, Harper was born. Charlotte loved her sister, and tried to teach her everything she knew about photography, and prefered singing. Charlotte lived a good life, taking pictures and caring for her sister, until she was seven, when the monsters started coming. Harper and Charlotte were out on a walk in Paris, when a hellhound attacked. Charlotte was confused why other people didn’t see it, so she decided to take a picture of it. But when she did, it disappeared. When she looked back at the picture, she saw the dog, barking at her. She deleted the picture, and it reappeared in front of her. She quickly took another picture, then pressed ‘print picture’, then tore it up. The picture turned into yellow sand, then blew away in the wind. She ran home with Harper, and told her mother, who was talking to a girl about her age. She introduced herself as Autumn, and after that, she never left her and Harper’s side. When Charlotte was 11, Autumn somehow convinced Alana to let Charlotte stay in Paris with her, and go to school. When they got to school, Autumn started hanging out with other kids, and all the boys (and a few girls) started flirting with Charlotte. When she turned them down, they started calling her Ice Queen. The monster attacks got worse, and when Alana and Harper came back to Paris, Autumn convinced Alana to let Charlotte go to a boarding school in New York with her. So far, Charlotte has been at camp for 5 years, exchanging letters with her mother almost every week.

History: Ash was born to Daniella Gardner, a famous theif. This being the case, they were raised knowing how to sneak into and out of places easily and how to surprise people. They had a sister, Danni, who was born a year after they were. Daniella was always more into the whole "Armed Robery" scene, whereas Ash preferred simply breaking in and stealing. This was because they didn't like the idea of hurting or threatening people, only giving big rich people what they deserved by taking what they didn't. When they came out as nonbinary, Ash's mother was furious and kicked them out. Ash was forced to leave, and Danni went with them, but they were soon seperated when Ash picked up from under a bridge and taken to Camp Half Blood. Their sister made her way West, as they had heard that somewhere in California she would be safe. After that, they didn't hear from them for about two years.

Avalon is very sassy and can be kind of rude, but is very reliable and trustworthy. She is hardworking, and calm is serious situations. She is possessive and territorial, but means well. Jasper Rouge was a Herperide son of Erytheia. He worked as a history professor at Oxford, and met Clio under the alias of Cleo while she was a traveling professor. The two fell in love, but soon after they met, Cleo had to leave. She told Jasper of her true identity, and Jasper was stunned, but understood. He quickly started dating another woman, Clementine, and they soon got married. When Jasper found out Clementine was expecting, he worried, knowing Clio was also pregnant. But a day before Clementine had her child, Clio had hers. She quickly went down to Earth, and gave Jasper their child. Jasper knew Clementine could see through the Mist, so he didn't have to hide it from her, but they told Clementine and his families that Clementine had twins. They bought it. Jasper named the twins Avalon and Camelot, as that story was a favorite to teach his students. But Camelot hated his name, so he goes by Cam. They were raised like regular mortals, that is, until they were 8, when Cam had his first monster attack. The twins were walking around London, when a puppy approached them. When Cam reached down to pet it, it grew five times larger, and tried to bite him. Another demigod, a female, jumped between the two and jabbed it with her sword. It turned into yellow sand, and Cam and Avalon ran away. They didn't have another monster attack after that. But when the twins were 12, they had another monster attack, then another, then another, until Jasper decided to send them to camp. They came home every summer, until they were 16, when Jasper and Clementine decided to send them to camp full time. But the twins came back periodically. During the year Ava and Cam have been at camp, Ava has learned about her identity as Hesperide and devote herself to Hera (though not become her priestess), and Cam has started dating Charlotte Cartier, daughter of Hermes.

✘ appearance: kai does not look like what you would expect from a son of ares. he has tan skin and dark hair. it's shaggy and shiny and covers his ears unevenly. he has a few scars on his face from past injuries. the worst is across his lips, a bit to the left of the center of his mouth, running from a few centimeters under his nose to the bottom of his chin. the rest of his body has miscellaneous scars, some over his tattoos and some under. another very apparent scar is on the back of his left hand. it appears purple and white because of the odd way it healed. his ears are pierced three times in each ear, and he has a lip piercing which he rarely wears a ring in. his eyes are slanted, with large pupils. one of his eyes is dark brown, almost black, and the other is a bit lighter, a gold or honeyed color. he has sharp eyebrows but a light browbone. he is 5'11, and his proportions are rather average. he is a bit muscular, but not a bodybuilder, with faint muscle outlines visible on his body (though he has no trouble with agility and strength). his arms and thighs are tattooed, with patterns, drawings, skeletons, and other miscellaneous designs. he has a small one on the back of his neck as well. his nails are usually painted black and he wears black and gray clothes most of the time - he values comfort above style, but he still makes sure he looks okay. he takes care of himself and has a specific hygiene routine. he is not the most expressive and has a sort of resting b*tch face where he looks a bit mad, even when he's not.
✘ personality: at first, he seems just like other ares demigods - with his intimidating looks and bothered expressions, kai can be difficult to approach. he is generally quiet and usually keeps to himself. he is determined and spends his time training and trying to improve in different fields, so he doesn't have very much down time, but when he does he enjoys reading, drawing, and cooking. he is a very perseverant person, and continues to keep going even when he doesn't think he can. however, his warrior father's genes didn't happen to influence his personality in the way he interacts with others. his drive to improve comes from a fear that he will have a weakness that others will be able to take advantage of, so he constantly tries to hide his weaknesses and 'faults.' the things he does in down time however, his hobbies, are things that he is fine with being okay instead of good at, since they can't necessarily hurt him. in relationships, he can be very protective and even a bit clingy. he doesn't easily grow close to others, but when he does, and when he makes sure that the person has clear intentions, he gets very attached, and he is hopelessly romantic and sweet. he's smart and honest and doesn't try to pretend to be someone he is not. he doesn't trust others very much, but when he finds someone he likes, he looks up to them and follows their actions and words. his love language is touch and affirmations, but he doesn't allow himself to enjoy it unless its with someone he knows very well and trusts. he is very soft inside, and really wants to be close to people - he's just afraid and guarded. although he's scared to interact, he's also a bit scared to be completely alone. he enjoys being in other people's presences even when they aren't talking to him. really, he does enjoy being around others and he is very kind and tries to help out the most he can without having to directly interact with people.
✘ weaknesses: he is afraid of complete darkness, and he can be a bit too secretive at times, not letting people into his life even when he needs them. he is hurt very easily even if he doesn't let on. his archery is something that he is working on. he also has tremors in his left hand which can affect his fighting at times.
✘ strengths: kai is very talented at battle, due to his lineage, and he is also a good artist and cook. he works hard on his studies and strength training as well, and his self-control and willpower are admirable. his secretiveness can also be a strength as he doesn't share compromising information.
✘ history: kai has not had an easy life. his mother was unprepared for a child. she had the preconceived notion that ares would stay with her, but when he left after she got pregnant, she became distraught. she had fallen in love with him and her lavish lifestyle. even if it had been brief, it was gone, and she was back to where she was before she'd met ares. she was heartbroken. soon, she realized her son was the only part of ares she had left. she did not name him, and no one knew of the boy's existence. for the first few years, he was kept inside their small apartment. his mother wanted him all for herself. she showered him with affection, desperately trying to hold on to all she had left of ares. eventually, he began to grow up and get older, and he looked so similar to ares. the emotional manipulation and abuse started when he was six. his mother stopped mourning the loss and started cursing ares. she still hadn't moved on, and she began taking out all of her pent-up anger and frustration at ares on her son, and he became the one forced to suffer for ares's actions. despite how cruel she was, she was all that he had. and some nights, when he would curl up on her lap and she would stroke his hair, he would feel like maybe everything would be alright. until the next day, when she would yell and tell him everything he did wrong. how he was too much like his father. she would physically abuse him sometimes as well, apologizing profusely after, but it never took away the pain. after years of this, she began to grow weary. she quit her job, stopped abusing her son, and started neglecting him instead. at this point, she was abusing drugs, and she would occasionally forget that he even existed. she would lock him in his room and not allow him to eat or see her for days on end. so when the monsters came, he was left all alone to fight them off. and if she did see anything, she didn't say it. maybe she was too high, or maybe she just didn't care. he was fourteen years old when they were evicted from their apartment. his mother didn't have a job, and he was so unexposed to the real world. they lived on the streets together for a few weeks, sleeping on park benches and at bus stops, until his mother went off with a man and never came back. he was found days later by seven teenagers, who had been thrown out by their parents or run away and had come together to form a sort of group. they took him in, if you could call it that. they taught him how to steal and how to fight (although he didn't need much training in that field). he became a bit too involved in the fighting part - stealing for fun and downing the cops that came after him. partially for the rush of adrenaline, and partially to forget that after everything they'd been through, his mother had left him. he reveled in the pain and the power he felt when he fought. the monsters that came after him stood no chance, although he could never kill them, he became very good at running and fending them off. his group was never too bothered by it. they never seemed to notice that he was the main target of the monsters - they just appreciated the bloodshed and mystery of it all. of course, they ran into other types of monsters as well - the human kind. this kind of life was ruthless and gory. that's where most of his scars come from. there was even an instance of torture, like straight out of a video game, where kai was the unfortunate subject, paying the price for more than a few stolen items. his group nursed him back to health after he was let go. unfortunately, during this time, he had never quite grown close to his group, especially not after the one person he trusted and loved, an older member of the group, revealed that she only spent time going on missions with kai because he was the fastest, not because she enjoyed spending time with the younger. she insulted him right in front of his face, joking about how anyone could possible ever like someone like him? they all laughed. he completely shut down after this and merely went through the motions of surviving. the group did however tattoo him, using a mixture of stick n pokes and a stolen tattoo gun that kai had no idea how they acquired. he enjoyed that, the pain and designs on his skin. he lived like this for quite some time, his life a series of fights, injuries, black ink, and stolen green paper. eventually he was found by a satyr and rushed to camp half-blood. he was upset to leave his group, no matter how badly they treated him, because he once again had to leave everything familiar behind. mostly he was just confused and tired. the journey was long and hard, having to fight monsters at every turn, but he was used to it and he made it to the camp without much trouble.

Jasper Rouge was a Herperide son of Erytheia. He was very charming, and almost immediately after meeting Clementine Allen, a daughter of Triton, they fell in love and were engaged. When Jasper found out Clementine was pregnant, he was overjoyed, but not for long. Avalon was born a month before her due date, and was in the hospital for 5 weeks. She was not expected to live, and when she did, everyone rejoiced. She lived a good life, until she and Jasper started gardening. They started a community garden in their neighborhood when Avalon was five, and Avalon unknowingly used some of her powers. Then the monsters started coming. Jasper and Clementine fought most of them off, but they knew they couldn’t keep them off forever. They invited one of Clementine's friends over to help them, a daughter of Athena, her husband, a son of Adonis, and their daughter, who was 5 years older than Avalon. They helped protect Avalon and Ramona, until Clementine’s friends died in a monster attack. Clementine and Jasper decided to send the girls to Camp Half-Blood, but only for the summer. Their second year at camp, Avalon received a dream from Hera telling her she was a Hesperide, but she stayed in the Triton cabin. When Avalon was 15 (and Ramona was 20), Ramona decided to leave camp to try to live a normal life, and Avalon was alone. Later that year, Avalon met Charlotte Cartier, and the pair became inseparable. When Avalon was 16, Clementine and Jasper decided to send Avalon to camp full time. Also that year, with her summers being spent at camp, she decided to become Hera’s priestess in training. Her teacher, a dryad named Magnolia, was sent down to teach her, and soon became her best friend, making Charlotte, Avalon, and Magnolia an inseparable trio.

History:
Ever since she was a toddler, Emily has always had an affinity for mechanics and ingenuity. However, she was never into getting dirty, or fixing up greasy machines. Instead, she was better at crafting other trinkets, like watches, rings, keychains, magical weapons that turn into something possessable. Ya know, normal stuff like that.
She first arrived at camp at 11 years old, and was claimed by Hephaestus the next night at the campfire.
