Ellie is a candor plain and simple. She is honest and brutally honest at that. She believes in the law and only the law. You will never see her put a toe out of line. Some people look at this like it is perfection but in all honesty, it is more of a curse. Ellie can't feel much of anything besides this. As most of her fellow campers say: She is the spitting image of her mother!

Ellia has always found it hard to make friends. No one has ever wanted a friend that only tells the truth, even if it's mean. The poor girl can't even gossip about another person because she feels as though it is wrong and unjust.

The girl did not grow up knowing her mother. She always knew of her. There was always a time where Ellie had wondered why she was so different from all the other children in school. But after a loud and scary argument with her father school was no longer an option. She was towed away to Camp Half-blood.

Because she never had her real mother to guide her so her emotions and feelings towards herself and others didn't get out of control, she is the way she is.

Being a daughter of Themis has its perks but to Ellie, it's just a curse and to everyone else around Ellie it's still a curse. Ellie grew up in a small town thousands of miles away from Camp Half-blood. The ten years she lived with her biological father were not the best. She never had a traumatic-life changing event, but it just wasn't the best for a ten-year-old with magical abilities that were horrible for such a small child.

From the moment Ellie could talk all she was saying was the cold-hard-damn truth and for a now single father raising a demi-god on his own, it was hard. For Ryder, the girl was a beautiful replica of the woman he had an affair with. It was only a few nights they met but when Ellie was placed in a basket at the front of Ryder's front porch with a note he couldn't refuse.

He knew it was Themis's daughter the moment he looked at the baby girl's dashing smile and hard eyes. It reminded him so much of her.

Even though Ryder did not know the real name or identity of Themis he soon figured out that Ellie was different, so different he left her on the side of the road near the woods of some odd forest far, far away from her home.

This was when she was rescued by an older Camper of Camp Half-blood and told who she really was. She soon was able to discover why she was the way she was. Why she was so truthful and sometimes just blatantly mean.

Now six years later and nothing has really changed. Besides the fact that Ellie has now offered herself solitude in the cabin that she lives in alone. It's just another reminder that Ellie was the only time it was going to happen. A simple mistake and this is how Themis planned on covering it.

history ► (view spoiler)[ Alika Pilipo was just a mortal girl with a big dream when she moved to New York for college. She wanted a degree in equestrian studies, because she had grown
up on a horse ranch and had always felt that special connection to horses. Finally, she achieved that big dream when she opened a horse ranch a few years after she graduated. One day, one of her employees, a man names Michael Evans, started flirting with her, and then asked her out, and, to Michael's surprise, she said yes. They hit it off, and they went on another, and another, and another, and, well, you get the point.

On one of their dates, they were at a small coffee shop, there was a woman in the corner just...staring at Michael, but before she could say anything, the woman's teeth enlarged, and she was growing wings. While Alika just sat there, frozen in shock, Michael turned his watch into a sword and started fighting the woman. After the woman had turned to a yellow dust, Michael sat down and explained the godly world to Alika. She was shocked, but nothing really changed between them except the more frequent monster attacks.

In the next few months, the happy couple became engaged, and Alika found out she was pregnant. After they found out it was a girl, Michael wanted to name the girl Makayla, but Alika wanted to name the girl Ailani, so they named the girl Ailani. When Ailani was two, Michael surprised Alika with a marine biology seminar at the local community college for their anniversary. But unknownst to Alika, the seminar was taught by Poseidon and Amphitrite, hoping for a break from their busy lives underwater. One night, Michael went out to grab takeout for Ailani and Alika, but he never arrived back home. Alika was told it was a car crash, but she knew that it was a monster attack that took her husband's life.

Yet, for some reason, Alika kept taking the classes. But what Alika didn't know was that Poseidon and Amphitrite had fallen in love with her. Athena, sensing tension (and an opportunity to make Poseidon look bad), came up with a plan she called Athens: Part II. She took the form of pure thought (a trick she learned when she was in Zeus's skull), and whispered her plan into Amphitrite and Poseidon's ears, and, without knowing it was Athena who came up with this plan, they went along with it.

Meanwhile, Ailani got her first monster attack. She was only three, and Michael had warned Alika that this was possible, but Alika never thought it would actually happen. And, because Alika was unprepared, the attack took Ailani's life. Alika was a wreck, and the last thing she needed was two immortals vying for her attention. But of course, they didn't care.

Both gods introduced themselves to her as gods, and also introduced the competition to her. The gods would both offer Alika a gift, and in return she would date them for a month. Poseidon offered Alika the fastest, kindest, and most beautiful horse in the world. Amphitrite offered Alika either her daughter or husband back. She was given five days and nights to decide, and then the god and goddess disappeared. For the first five days, Alika was steadfast on getting Ailani back, but on the fifth night, she got a dream. The dream was from the fates and told her that it wasn't healthy to bring someone back from the dead, and if she did, she and everyone after her would be cursed by Hades.

The next day, when Alika went to the community college, she made the hardest decision of her life, and chose Poseidon's deal. Athena was furious. She wasn't supposed to pick Poseidon's choice! But there was nothing she could do about it now except break up Poseidon and Alika as soon as possible. Poseidon gave Alika the horse, and they stayed together for 2 weeks before Athena's trickery broke the not-so-happy couple up. But eight weeks after Poseidon and Alika broke up, Alika discovered she was pregnant. Her first thought was to abort the child, but her parents convinced her to keep the child, but only if they let her move back to their ranch. Alika named the child Makayla, in honor of Michael.

The child, Makayla, grew up with horses, so, naturally, she excelled in horseback riding. Makayla grew up surfing on crystal clear waters in Hawaii as well, the perfect breeding ground for a child of Poseidon to develop their powers. Mack lived side-by-side with the horse Poseidon had given Alika, Earthquake. It was the only horse that just seemed right for Makayla.

One night when Makayla was eleven, she heard her mother screaming and crying about an "Ailani". Naturally, Makayla was curious. The next day, a box came for Makayla filled with mason jars containing odd powders and liquids, a letter saying something about a "cult of Hecate", as well as a book titled: Spells and Potions for Beginners, with the bookmark on a page about truth serums. She had been chosen as the newest priestess of Hecate.

Let's back up a bit. Every year, the priests and priestesses of Hecate chose a new priest or priestess to join the cult. They usually are young, powerful, and have the skills needed to be the perfect priest or priestess. That year's happened to be someone in need of a truth serum right at that moment. Makayla was first hesitant, but something inside compelled her to make it and give it to her mother. When she snuck it into Alika's meal that night, Makayla asked her about Ailani, Alika said everything, everything about Michael, everything about Ailani, and everything about Poseidon and Amphitrite. Makayla was shocked, to say the least, but after the truth serum's effect wore off, Makayla said nothing, until another letter came the next day, with a map for a new riding trail, telling her to pack for a night as well. A lot was going on in Makayla's life, and she needed some distance from her mother, so she did what the letter said, and went on the new riding trail with Earthquake.

As expected, the moment she stepped out of the public eye, something strange happened. Makayla approached a fork in the road, one lit with torches, one not. Makayla chose the one with torches. But when she turned around, there was only a wall of trees. About a minute later, another fork in the road appeared, the same as the last one: one path with torches, the other without. Again, Makayla chose the path with torches, and when she looked back, there was only a wall of trees. The same exact thing happened a few minutes later. But a few minutes after that, something different happened (finally. I'm getting tired of writing this).

She came across a busy street, nothing like where she started. Then, in an act of rebellion, Earthquake led Makayla to a family in a park. This family happened to be the Reynolds family, who, after a simple explanation, knew exactly what was happening to Makayla. They told her everything, and then told her that it wasn't safe to go home. Makayla, who was already in a completely new space, and freaking out, so she trusted these people. There she met Scarlett and Jasper Reynolds, who had been living with the Reynolds their entire life, and they soon became best friends. About a year after Makayla arrived at the Reynolds', Jasper, Scarlett, and Makayla were sent to Camp Half-Blood. (hide spoiler)]

It wasn't until a few centuries later that they were finally unfrozen by the Hunters of Artemis (one of the Hunters was frozen by Khione near the four, and the heat carried close enough to melt them). Amara acts like a daughter of Hades more then she acts like a daughter of Aphrodite. Mar can be pretty lazy but also very active when she wants to be. In no way is she shy, but sometimes she'll keep quiet unless she finds something worthly to comment on. Amara is a very fast runner, with years of practice. She's agile and quick thinking as well as smart. She fears her mother greatly, as she knows what Aphrodite is capable of. Amara hates makeup and fame. For the most part anyways, she'll wear eyeliner and maybe some eyeshadow but that's about it. She loves the outdoors and everything to do with nature. A lot of the time, when she's free of her Amazon duties, she'll go hiking or camping for fun. She's pretty outgoing and rather ambitious, finding ways to get what she wants and when she wants.
Amara is pretty good at drawing things like dragons, fairies, basically anything fantasy. Though, she doesn't have a passion for it, or at least she doesn't see herself as an artist. She's more into racecar driving or at camp, chariot racing. She's a pretty good mechanic and outside of camp she tries to at least race once or twice. Outside of camp, she owns a shop called 'Mar's Mechanics' and she lets other campers work there if they need to because she knows it's hard for demigods in the outside world. Amara loves hiking and things like running or track as well.
Amara is more isolated, such she can be a leader in some way; telling people what to do. But she's not always sure of herself, always second guessing her choices. She doesn't do well in crowds because she has extreme claustrophobia and she reacts harshly towards the gods.

Amara was born in Santa Monica, California to Jason Kastellanos and the Greek love goddess Aphrodite after her father had an affair with the Pheme, Greek goddess of fame and gossip. Jason originally caught the eye of Pheme because he was a rather famous movie star, everyone knew his name. So, one day Pheme found Jason while he was finishing up a short film and they had an affair. After, Jason went home and a week later a basket appeared a his front door with a note. The note told him where the baby in the basket was from and what to name the child. So, he was to be named Levi.
Fast forward two years, Jason found out he had the attention of the Greek goddess Aphrodite. And the same thing happened, they had an affair and a basket with a baby was left outside in front of the door.
Everything was fine for the first three years, Jason was a loving father while Levi and Amara got along perfectly. But all goods things must come to an end.
Jason was soon captured by some monsters sent by Gaia, nobody knows why he was taken, maybe it was for Gaia to have a hold over Aphrodite. But ever since Amara got to camp, she's been trying to figure it out.
Just after Jason disppeared, Levi went missing to, though he left a note for Amara saying he had to run away from his life. Soon after, Amara got a vision in her sleep to travel towards the east coast. The dream featured Aphrodite and the goddess wanted Amara to head to Camp Half-Blood.
On her way to camp, Amara ran into the Amazons and quickly joined much to her mother's disappointment. Aphrodite had this perfect little image for her children and Mara just didn't fit it.
Anyways, the Amazons took Amara in and on her fifteenth birthday, they dropped her off at camp to hang out with people her own age. Soon after arriving to camp, Amara was claimed by Aphrodite and she even opened her own mechanics shop outside of camp and inside of camp. Though she's not as good as some of the other campers.

His dad abused his stepmom Cynthia, still madly in love with Athena, his love turning into hate in an instant. To protect her and himself, Mason began to work out a ton, becoming extremely toned and lean. This gives him the body of more of an Ares or Hephaestus kid, surprising everyone when Athena claimed him for hers. He has the brain of Athena but has trouble relying on others, only wanting to protect them. As Athena is out of his realm of protection, he finds listening to her futile as he gets no satisfaction in helping her. He is afraid to fall in love and therefore generally avoids girls, but this year, he is going to try to be more open, learning that all love does not resolve to hate as his father's had.

Even though she can be a hurricane, that has never stopped her from trying to make friends. Her first year at the camp had been difficult, but she had made it through.

Now at the age of nineteen, she has been named counselor of the Artemis creations or children. She enjoyed her job, but there were only one or two "siblings" that she had. And most of the time they all ignored each other. Ansley only ever feels truly like herself and confident when she is alone in the forest or with the huntresses or her mother. There she can truly be her leafy self. She is down to earth to loves to create connections with animals and plants alike.

A leaf swirled in the wind. Its colors shaded like those on the ground. Dark red, an almost crimson color filled the leaf. But there was something special about this leaf. Gold specks decorated the tears that were threatening to break the leaf apart. This leaf danced with the breeze, twirling and swirling. It seemed as though it had its own mind, like a personality of sorts. A possibility had been opened that it could have been a human in a past life.

As this special leaf moved through the draft, it landed on a grave. Nothing should have been particularly noteworthy about this grave, but looking closely the stone read, "Ansley Hwang - born June 9th died June 9th" The birth and death date was exactly five years apart. The leaf had been the girl all those years ago. She visited her grave often wondering if what was left of her family would come and visit. They never did and so with each year, the leaf with golden flecks changed. Each year she became a new leaf with different colors, but always with the same golden flecks.

This year shouldn't have been any different. The leaf scattered its way on its birthday to the grave. This time, the leaf had gained the attention of a beautiful goddess. Later it would be found out that she was Artemis. This goddess had noticed the flecks of brutal gold on the green leaf. She gazed at it as it made its way to the girl's grave.

As the green and golden flaked leaf landed upon the earth, Artemis walked up to the grave, reading what was engraved on the stone a small tear dropped from her golden honey eyes. This tear was filled with blessings that landed upon the leaf bouncing unto the earth that laid on top of the grave of the little girl.

Something stirred inside of Artemis that left her standing there watching as the leaf flew into the breeze. But before the leaf could get far the golden specks began to glow. Not only the leaf but the name on the stone began to glow as well.

The small clear tear that had dripped onto the grave and the leaf had fused the two together. Now as fog, earth, dust, and water came together a small girl was formed. Hair black as the night and eyes changing shades with the sunlight. The girl that had died had been reborn from the leaf that held her soul.

Artemis smiled at her new creation. Once a dead little girl, then a golden leaf, and now a girl blessed with magic. Now was the hard part. Artemis did not know that the girl had been blessed with the ability to communicate with animals so she left the girl at a house that she knew had the last name, Hwang.

The woman that had opened the door to the laughing five-year-old stared back at the body of what should have been her dead child. It seemed impossible for a girl that looked like the little girl that she had cared for all those years ago. Elise Hwang took a deep breath and welcomed the small girl, Ansley, into her home. But as the small blessed child began to grow she became an upset to her adoptive mother. As her powers began to grow, Artemis became worried that the Hwang mother would kick her creation out of her human home. So one night, four years after placing the girl there, Artemis snuck into the Hwang home and stole the child. She took her to Camp Half-blood. Where she knew that she would be welcomed with open arms.

Now at nineteen, Ansley has grown to welcome her creators love. At first, it was weird not understanding where you had come from and who had made you. After all, Ansley was different from the rest of the demi gods. Though she was in fact a demi-god, she wasn't half-human like the rest of them. She may have a human outside appearance but inside her wild leaf soul remains.

And as for Elise Hwang, she had another child. One that was fully human. She would never forget her first child or the fact that she had been reborn. But as time flew, she buried that part of her history inside the back of her heart.

What an artistic backstory. Just a couple things since your character is a child of Artemis. Souls are normally reincaranated into other living things. The concept of a girl with a personality as free or changeable in direction as a leaf is lovely, but a leaf is usually a part of a plant like an animal’s limb. I feel like a soul wouldn’t reincarnate into a leaf as a result. After the leaf is disconnected from the plant after a certain point, it also isn’t alive anymore. I also think abilities involving communicating with or reading the minds of animals should either belong to children of nature spirits like Pan or children of gods/goddesses and their parents’ sacred animals.

History: Her mother had known about the camp Edie’s entire life, but had just been trying to make it on their own without the help from anyone else. When Edahline started talking about seeing spirits at the age of twelve however, she wasn’t sure if they would be able to stay where they were, soon other creatures would too know that Edahline was a Demi-god. Madilyne had know who Edie’s father as even before she had slept with the god, but she never thought that they would have had a child together. When it was time (Edie’s 14th birthday) she told her daughter about how she had met a god one night and they had a fling. She then explained which god it was (Hades), and what that meant for Edahline. She was also informed on the camp that she wold be able to attend if she wanted to, but when she first got the offer she declined. She wanted to have time to take in all of the information about what her life actually was. The year after, two days after her 15th birthday she finally told her mother she was ready to go to the camp. So they packed her some supplies, and took an adventure across the country to where the camp was located. At the gate, she was sad that she would have to be without her mother, but they agreed to meet at least twice a year, and that made Edahline feel slightly better. Personality: A lot can be assumed when you first see Cecilia Fernandes, but the biggest two things to know are that she's witty and confident. Of course she's also generous, anticipative and insightful, but far less strongly and often mixed with being venomous as well. Her wit though, this is what she's so well-liked for. Friends frequently count on this and her independence when they're feeling down. Nobody's perfect of course and Cecilia has a fair share of lesser days too. Her intolerance and self-indulgence aren't exactly fun to deal with, both personally and for others. Fortunately her confidence helps lighten the blows and moods when needed.

History: Cecilia never suspected much about her mother. All she knew is that she left as soon as she gave birth to her.
