I think Simon is quite funny. I loved whatever part we had with him.

Yeah. I have the same questions about him.
Though it's taking me a while to get a hang of the writing, I am liking this so far.
I wonder if it's becoz of the fact that I am finally setting my foot into Cassie's Clare world!

I think Clave is more like a head council or something...
Maybe there will be more explanation ahead.

Yeah, you’re right. The Clave are the sort of council in Idris (Jace mentioned this is their home country).

A lot happened in these chapters. There were many info dumps here and there. Though they weren't boring like in a lot of books, but things are still quite confusing.

And is City of Bones same as Silent City. They came to Silent City now, right?

I just finished Chapter 10. I don't think I can read more today.

I think in chapter 10 it said that it’s sometimes called the bone city because they bury their dead there and silent city because no one there speaks. Yeah, they did just go there. (hide spoiler)]
It does have a Harry Potter vibe! I think the author took inspiration from there for some parts.

It is a lot of info. A lot of it gets repeated which helps but I can try help with certain things! If you have the shadowhunters codex which is a separate book, it can make it easier.

Simon does seem really confident with everything, not at all surprised by things she tells him

Yeah. Even the whole Valentine rising back up again, Clary discovering she isn't a "mundane", everything gives off some Harry Potter vibes.
