The whole scene with Jace and Clary at the greenhouse was so cute honestly. The love triangle is really getting complicated poor Simone :(

Clary realizing that the cup is inside the painting: genius on Jocelyn’s part I would have never guessed it.

Dorothea being a demon essentially (or possessed I’m not so sure) has me shook. The plot twists I love it

Hodge working for Valentine, another plot twist this whole section has just been one plot twist and then another. I did found it weird that the Clave didn’t really respond or that Hodge was so supportive of them getting the cup but I’ll be honest I never guessed this. This is just an ultimate betrayal. I get wanted the curse lifted and feeling anger but he betrayed the children he basically raised.

OMG LUKE IS BACK! I knew he couldn’t have just left. He always had some type of plan. He had to have He’s a werewolves too? How? I guess we’ll find out soon. Maybe he’ll tell us more to what we have been questioning

Can’t wait to read more!

What has actually happened to Jace father. Is he is really dead???

Is it only me or anyone else also thinks that Clary's as a lead hasn't been as strong and brave as she should be???
In movies and series she was shown as a badass, a doer but in the book she seems fully dependent on others so far.

She definitely isn't that brave but it is understandable as she grew up as a mundane. I think anyone in her position will be scared and dependent on those who know what is happening. She does seem to regret that fear in the partment when she doesn't act though. Hopefully we see more character development with her either in this book or the next ones.

I forgot to mention the mark. It has to mean something. That is totally selection of detail at its finest. But Jace looked away so we won't know what it means yet. UGH

(view spoiler)[I definitely agree that Clary needs more training, and it's getting kind of annoying for her to be on the sidelines during a fight. However, it has only been a week, so I guess we should probably cut her some slack.

Speaking of Simon, did anyone else realize that if he's been in love with her for 10 years, he fell in love with her at 5/6 years old? Just a little odd moment :)

I can't wait to hear Luke's backstory! I was super tempted to read ahead. Ahhh, the cliffhangers.

Maybe the star-shaped scar is some sort of vaccine? It would be weird for it to be on her shoulder instead of her upper arm though. Perhaps it's a scar from a Mark? (hide spoiler)]

I feel like the author is still going to play with the idea of Jace and Clary. Omg i still can't believe they're siblings though I mean i thought Clary and a sibling but never did I want to think it was Jace. Idk how i feel about the relationship now. The ending though I can't wait to continue reading.
