Umm, no! I just came back on...counted the first line, multiplied by three, adding the extra ones on. It took me two minutes, tops.

So...I'll just go ahead and post this here since it seems like more people follow this thread than the Ideas and Suggestions thread. 😋 Would anyone be interested in doing a Poetry Memorization challenge with me? I've been thinking a lot lately about what a vast amount of poetry many people in the 19th century committed to memory. Lincoln was said to be able to recite Burns' verses by the hour! What I've been wanting to do is start out by memorizing just one poem a month. I've started memorizing a couple of poems before but usually get sidetracked and it takes me FOREVER! So I thought maybe if I was doing it with friends I would feel more accountable... 😉

Awhile back, I memorized "Sheer Joy" by Ralph Spaulding Cushman and I enjoyed it immensely!! This will be fun! 😄

Alright, I will try to set it up tomorrow...I'm not quite sure how the challenge section works, so will have to figure that out. 😉 The I thought we could have a thread where each of us can share the poem we choose to memorize for the month, and announce when we've finished!
