Today's Lesson:
The teacher says it is "Dorry and me" in this situation. Example:
"Can you imagine how boring this group would be without Dorry and I?" Cannot be said "Can you imagine how boring this group would be without I?" Thus, it should be "Dorry and me" in this situation.
However, if the sentence would be "Dorry and me make this group exciting!" using "me" is incorrect. It could not be said "Me make this group exciting!" It should be said "Dorry and I make this group exciting!". It could be said "I make this group exciting!"
It all depends on the context and phrasing of the sentence. That's the lesson of the day from the teacher. There will be no homework assignment!

*Something tells me that it will be the teacher who is sent to the chair in the corner today! LOL!!!

What can travel around the world without ever leaving the corner?

Pammy Jo"
Was that the one about how long it would take a number of players to play the symphony that more played in 40 minutes? (I posted that.) Apparently the person who put that question together knew NOTHING about music!

What can travel around the world without ever leaving the corner?"
Globe?

I'm sorry, Dorothy. I thought Ruth posted it.

Globe?"
It is not a globe.

Not an envelope, but you're close, Ruth!
The answer is A POSTAGE STAMP

*It's been very quiet on here today

Ooh I bet you're right Ruth!! A stamp!!"
I'm sorry, Ruth...I didn't notice that you said an envelope OR stamp. I thought it just said an envelope. You ARE correct!
Ruth is so smart! I'm always impressed!

Hi Emma,
A good guess is all.

what goes on an envelope."
I'm okay. Very worried about the hurricane as they now think it will pass directly over my region of PA. I so wish it had remained out at sea. We're praying for the best. It is expected to be a tropical storm in this area. We had storms here this morning. More expected tonight and tomorrow. It could have been worse here this morning...just north of us, in Reading, PA, they had nearly 6" of rain, a tornado and large hail. All in just a couple of hours! Nobody needs such heavy rainfall, but especially not just before a tropical system arrives.

Monday night and all day Tuesday. I live in Southeast PA, between Philadelphia and Allentown, in Bucks County. I'm worried. They are saying tomorrow will be severe from a front moving in from the west, besides the hurricane on Tuesday. I have been praying all day and will continue to pray for all in the path of the storms. The weather everywhere has gotten so severe lately. We rarely had tornadoes around here years ago, now we have them frequently. I appreciate your prayers!
Pammy Jo

Oh dear, sounds nasty! I was just looking at the forecast for Allentown and looks like some very heavy rain, but actually less wind than we are supposed to get. Odd!

They say the wind will be worse at the shore and the rain will be worse here. Severe storms are expected all around the area through Tuesday night. The worst is expected along the Delaware River which is about a 20 minute drive from my house.

We will miss you while you're gone Pamela! Always in my prayers!! π€β€οΈ
