8 Week Dash For the Win!
Challenge Dates:
Signups open until April 11, 2020 at 9 PM US EDT.
Remaining Teams Assigned after signups close on April 11, 2020.
First Task Assigned April 14, 2020 at 6 PM US EDT.
Challenge Ends on June 9, 2020 at Midnight US EDT, tasks will not be accepted after this time.
Each team will work together to complete tasks. Once complete, you will be given another task to complete. After the first task, teams will be on different paths with tasks randomly assigned. The same tasks may be assigned to different teams at different times, but no task will be used more than once by the same team. Each team works at their own pace and the team that completes the most tasks at the end of 8 weeks will be the winner!
After the first task is given to everyone, when a team finishes their task they will need to report their completion in the Tracking/Q&A thread. I will confirm the completion and assign their next task. New tasks will not be assigned more frequently than every other day. I will attempt to respond quickly to confirm completion and assign new tasks, but please allow up to 24 hours. If I am unavailable, another mod will assign the task.
Each teammate will need to participate in each task, but may take a pass for one task during the course of the challenge. For some tasks, no passes will be allowed. Completions posts will need to be made when finishing each book for a task, similar to the PtP and Bachelor Challenges. A player will be removed if they make no comment for 5 days after a new task is assigned or 3 days after the rest of the team completes the task (whichever is later), despite attempts to make contact.

Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.

** Since this is my first time I don't think I should be team captain **

I like babble. I'm really good at it haha. I am also married, live in MD with my husband and our four cats. We've been married 12 years, together for 16. Outside of reading, I'm listening to a lot of music, doing Legos and playing video and board games with my husband.

ditto!
I'm also married, 27 years this year. Trust me, Cheryl, after 25 it's not worth the effort to train a newer model ;-)
I have 2 boys, 19 and 24... both still at home. And eating me out of house and home.
Both hubby and me are still working, for the moment. Hubby runs an Olive Garden so they are all about the to-go business which is good for us, at least economically. I don't really like his continued exposure risk, though. I'm working from home, which I do anyway except now I have no choice so of course I resent it :-D Not sure what the longer term affects for my job are. We do accounting and consulting work so while regular audit and tax work have been deferred, we are getting consulting work. But I suspect that will only last so long...
Reading is also my escape but lately I'm also more easily distracted from it by FB and TV. I'm cooking more... oh joy. *sarcasm*
Looking forward to a new challenge!

I like this too.
I live with my OH of 19 years in a very sunny South Wales with our 3 year old springer cross. We have been in lockdown for 3 weeks, likely to continue for another 3 at least. My OH is self-employed and is able to continue working for the time being. I’ve been working from home, which has been a challenge but doable. We were due to move into new offices the week after next but that has been postponed, our old offices have been sold to a supermarket company and will be bulldozed before the month is out, so for the time being working from home will be the status quo.
My reading has really lagged since this all begun but with the absence of a noisy office I’m finding audio books the way to go. We have been doing a fair bit of gardening and have planted some salad crops too.
Looking forward to this challenge as a welcome distraction to real life.
